Austin Adventures and Active Adventures Announces 4 New Trips for 2023

The desire for active trips and new, yet sustainable ways to explore nature has only been increasing. Austin Adventures is meeting the demand by adding four new trips to its 2023 offering. The new trips will feature destinations in the Western US and Canada, including the Colorado Rockies, British Columbia, and expand their highly popular hiking trips to the Grand Canyon.

“Why not try something new out west?” says Courtney Iannuccilli, Vice President of Marketing of Austin Adventures. “With demand soaring from last year, we felt it was a great time to continue expanding our offerings with a twist. Explore during a lesser visited season, helicopter-supported hiking, or a new destination this year.”

Guests can expect the same level of high-touch service on these new trips, including “wow” moments, a 6:1 guide-to-guest ratio, and special experiences you can only get with a tour operator well versed in taking travelers off the beaten path. These new all-inclusive small group adventures include:

  • Colorado Rockies – this 5-day all-inclusive hiking adventure allows guests to challenge themselves on Rocky Mountain National Park’s most iconic trails with relaxing evenings in a scenic mountain town with Austin Adventure taking care of all transportation and meals. Glittering alpine lakes, wind-sculpted mountains, and a chance to spot big horn sheep await guests who take on these hand-selected trails. Between the aspen and ponderosa pine groves and endless views, the natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies will leave guests breathless.
  • Grand Canyon in Winter– this 6-day multi-sport vacation allows guests to explore Arizona with quieter trails, pleasant weather, and landscapes that contrast a dusting of snow with shades of red. Guests can look forward to floating the Salt River, sleeping, and hiking the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, and taking a thrilling jeep tour near Sedona. Offered in December and January, this trip is a unique way to ring in the new year. Austin Adventures also offers a family-friendly summer trip to the Grand Canyon
  • British Columbia Hut to Hut Hiking Adventure – this 6-day backcountry hiking trip invites guests to step off the grid and explore some of the lesser-trekked trails of British Columbia’s Esplanade Range. Accessible only by helicopter, this is a true bucket-list adventure for those looking to stretch their legs and hike with a seasoned guide leading the way by day and a personal chef cooking dinner each night.
  • Vancouver Island – this 6-day multi-sport adventure has guests hiking, biking, sea-kayaking, zip-lining, and soaking amongst the old-growth forest on Canada’s Pacific Coast. Vancouver Island’s wild, rugged beauty is complimented by the relaxed charm of seaside resorts and deep connection to the First People of Canada. Austin Adventures is the first small-group operator on the island and welcomes guests seeking an active and varied vacation in nature with a touch of magic.

In addition to increasing demand for active and nature travel, Austin Adventures’ growth can also be attributed to its alliance with Active Adventures of New Zealand. Active Adventures’ unique hiking, biking, and kayaking experiences in New Zealand, South America, Europe, the Himalayas, and Africa are available via the Austin Adventures’ website.

“There’s never been a better time to take a deep breath of fresh air in nature,” says Iannuccilli. “We are excited to share new heart-pumping and breathtaking ways to explore mountains, deserts, and islands without leaving the continent.”
