10 Years of Mandapa: A Living Legacy of Heritage and Culture Through the Land of Ubud.

Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, marks its 10th anniversary on August 28, 2025, celebrating a decade of creating extraordinary journeys in the spiritual heart of Ubud. To honor this milestone, the resort has curated a year-long program of exclusive experiences spanning gastronomy, wellness, and sustainability—each inspired by the rich cultural traditions of Bali. These limited-time offerings will be available from July 2025 through July 2026.

The celebrations begin with the debut of the “A Decade of Excellence” package, available for stays of five nights or more between July 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. Guests can immerse themselves in the island’s heritage with guided excursions in a classic open-top Volkswagen through Balinese villages, visiting sacred landmarks such as Tirtha Empul, renowned for its holy spring pools, and Gunung Kawi, the 11th-century cliffside temple complex. Culinary highlights include sunset cocktails at Ambar Ubud Bar, a 10-course zero-waste fine-dining journey at Kubu, and intimate riverside or cliffside private dinners. The package also integrates wellness, featuring private yoga sessions, traditional healing practices like Mepijet—a blend of Balinese and Javanese therapies—and soothing Marma massages at the serene Mandapa Spa.

From September to December 2025, Mandapa Spa introduces the Celestial Massage—a transformative Mepijet ritual performed beneath the stars, accompanied by live Gamelan music and a setting of flowers and candles that channel the healing energy of the night. During this same period, Kubu presents a seasonal “food as medicine” menu, crafted entirely with ingredients sourced within 10 kilometers of the resort. Highlights include Payangan beans prepared five ways with kelp Garum fermented for over a year, 48-hour slow-roasted Wagyu beef, and tropical fruits from the volcanic soils of Tabanan.

Between January and April 2026, Ambar Ubud Bar unveils a trio of signature cocktails inspired by the Lontar Taru Pramana, an ancient Balinese text on medicinal plants. The Royal Entrance, blending pandan, pomelo, rosella, and local gin, honors the grand palace doors of Ubud. The Mandapa Spritz reimagines the region’s traditional Arak with strawberries and sparkling wine, while the Pomelo Soda infuses homegrown pomelo, galangal, and lemongrass with gin for a refreshing twist.

From May to July 2026, the resort will host the Mandapa Royal Brunch each Sunday, showcasing an Indonesian feast reminiscent of a village gathering. Guests can enjoy authentic dishes such as Lawar Klungah (coconut, vegetables, and octopus), Bebek Goreng (crispy fried duck), and a live grill station serving assorted Sate and freshly caught seafood.

The anniversary festivities culminated on August 28, 2025, with an exclusive evening for invited guests. The event opened with a traditional blessing ceremony and unfolded into a vibrant celebration of Balinese heritage, featuring storytelling, music, dance, and a fireworks finale. To commemorate the occasion, the resort also unveiled a beautifully crafted coffee table book capturing a decade of treasured memories.
