With the art of “star bathing” and astrotourism continuing to trend, Hotel Rangá, a boutique property in Iceland, has announced the launch of The Ultimate Star Bath experience. Given its remote location and little light pollution, this lux lodge on the South Coast is well known for being the best place to stay to catch the Northern Lights but it’s also the perfect place to count the stars!
Beginning this fall, guests of the family-owned property can book The Ultimate Star Bath, a unique experience inviting visitors to indulge in mindful stargazing and immerse themselves in their spectacular sparkling surroundings. In addition to a private astronomy lesson with the hotel’s own expert and riverside sky viewing with cozy blankets, guests will also receive a complimentary Starry Night- a cosmos-inspired cocktail- and a personalized star map of the constellations seen during their stay- all in honor of the 10th anniversary of the hotel’s on site stargazing observatory – the best in the region. Of course, they will also have access to soak in one of the resort’s outdoor geothermal-heated hot tubs while also soaking in the stars above and the observatory itself if they’re interested in a closer look at the worlds floating above.
For those who really want to live in the moment, guests can also opt to add on Hotel Rangá’s Analog Menu, which includes a deck of cards, two disposable cameras, a custom coloring book inspired by local folklore, a personalized map of South Iceland, and of course, a Hotel Rangá post card that will be sent complimentary on behalf of guests at the front desk. All designed to catapult visitors back to a simpler time and disconnect during their stay in Iceland.
