Dominica, the Caribbean’s Nature Island, was ranked #11 in Conde Nast Traveler’s 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards.

Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, with Dominica recognized as the #11 ISLAND in the CARIBBEAN & ATLANTIC. This marks the second year in a row the island of Dominica has received this prestigious award, moving from #15 in 2023 to #11 this year.  

More than 575,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the United States submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to offer a comprehensive look at the places they eagerly anticipate revisiting. The Readers’ Choice Awards, with their unparalleled legacy as the travel industry’s longest-running and most prestigious accolades, remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector.

“Dominica’s recognition as one of the best islands in the Caribbean for the second consecutive year by such a prestigious, globally renowned publication is a true testament to the progress we’ve made in the tourism sector in recent years” said Hon. Looking ahead to 2025, Dominica has many exciting things on the horizon, including new accommodations, flight launches and expanded festival offerings.”  

Just announced this week, a new non-stop flight from New York/Newark to Dominica’s Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) operated by United Airlines will begin on February 15, 2025, making the island more accessible than ever before. This new flight will operate on Saturdays, marking the second non-stop flight route from the United States to Dominica.
