Marriott International is celebrating an exciting milestone, as it marks the company’s 300th property in Canada, with the opening of the Moxy Montreal Downtown, strengthening its offerings in Quebec. Developed in collaboration with RIMAP Hospitality and situated on rue Saint-Jacques, just steps from Old Montreal and iconic streets like Sainte-Catherine and Notre-Dame, the hotel offers 216 thoughtfully designed guestrooms, flexible co-working spaces, and a lively restaurant bar and lounge area, combining modern comfort with the brand’s signature stylish and energetic vibe in the heart of downtown Montreal.

Moxy Montreal Downtown is the third Moxy hotel in Canada, following Moxy Banff and Moxy Halifax Downtown which opened in 2024. A playful brand for the young at heart, Moxy is synonymous with fun and innovation, pushing the boundaries of traditional hotel stays. From checking in at the bar with a complimentary cocktail to enjoying interactive lobby spaces, Moxy prioritizes guest experience. With playful design, smart guest rooms, and buzzing social spaces, Moxy is a favorite among travelers seeking a lively stay. Marriott will also introduce Moxy Ottawa, in collaboration with RIMAP Hospitality, in 2026 and Moxy Vancouver Downtown, a dual branded project with Element Hotels developed by Paul Y. Construction (B.C.) Ltd, is slated to break ground this month.
