The AlUla Arts Festival returns for its fifth edition from 16 January to 14 February 2026, transforming Saudi Arabia’s ancient oasis city into a dynamic showcase of contemporary art, design, music, and culture. Set among desert canyons, palm groves, and the vibrant AlJadidah Arts District, the 2026 festival is set to be its most diverse programme to date.

A major highlight is the fourth edition of Desert X AlUla, presenting 10 new site-specific land artworks inspired by the theme Space Without Measure. Visitors can also explore Arduna, a landmark exhibition co-curated with Centre Pompidou and AFALULA, featuring more than 80 works from Saudi, regional, and international artists—alongside pieces by masters such as Kandinsky and Picasso.

Across AlJadidah Arts District, the festival brings outdoor installations, live music, film screenings, and design showcases. The AlUla Design Exhibition will spotlight innovative works from the AlUla Artists Residency, the AlUla Design Award, and designers inspired by the region’s landscapes and craft traditions. Local artisans at Madrasat Addeera will offer hands-on demonstrations and workshops, while ATHR Gallery and Cinema AlJadidah present special exhibitions and screenings throughout the month.

Cultural institutions also play a major role. Villa Hegra will debut the photography exhibition Not Deserted and host contemporary performances, workshops, and community programmes. The British Council’s Reflections initiative will present two grant-winning installations blending sustainability, heritage, sound, and visual art. At the serene Daimumah farm, visitors can participate in public art activities, planting sessions, and cultural performances set within a living landscape.

Uniting world-class creativity with AlUla’s rich cultural heritage, AlUla Arts Festival 2026 promises an inspiring month of art, nature, and immersive experiences in one of the world’s most extraordinary settings.
