In June 2026, Orient Express will introduce a groundbreaking chapter in its storied history: the world’s first Guerlain Spa at sea, unveiled aboard the Orient Express Sailing Yachts. This visionary collaboration marks the meeting of two icons of French refinement, each renowned for their craftsmanship, heritage, and devotion to elevating the art of living.
For more than 140 years, Orient Express has embodied the romance and grandeur of legendary travel — first by rail, and now across the oceans. Guerlain’s legacy stretches even further back. Since 1828, the Parisian Maison has shaped the world of High Perfumery and High Cosmetics, blending scientific innovation with artistic expression. Their partnership brings these centuries-old traditions together on the waves for the first time.
This union comes to life aboard the Orient Express Corinthian, the inaugural vessel in the brand’s new fleet and the largest sailing yacht ever built. Here, Guerlain introduces its most immersive wellness experience yet — a floating sanctuary designed as a sensorial journey in motion.
A Floating Temple of Well-Being
Hidden at the heart of the Corinthian is an expansive, 500-square-meter Guerlain Spa devoted to quietude, ritual, and sensory awakening. Thoughtfully arranged as a tranquil retreat from the world, the spa features:
- Four treatment suites, including a VIP double suite
- A gentle sauna and serene relaxation lounge
- A barber studio and sophisticated beauty salon
- A fitness area
- A lap lane open to the sky and sea
Every space — every gesture — is infused with the poetry of travel. Treatments unfold as voyages of their own, designed to restore balance and radiance through touch, aroma, and emotion.
As Philippe Hetland-Brault, President of Orient Express Sailing Yachts, explains, the partnership represents “a reimagining of travel and well-being — a sanctuary where beauty, refinement, and discovery meet.”
Exclusive Rituals Inspired by Sea, Light, and Movement
Guerlain has created a series of rituals found only aboard Orient Express Sailing Yachts. These experiences blend the rhythms of the ocean with the Maison’s mastery of touch and scent:
• Wave Serenity — A calming encounter shaped by fluid, wave-like movements. Cool spoons sculpt and illuminate facial contours, while a soft leg massage deepens relaxation.
• Aqua Odyssey — A revitalizing treatment inspired by Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria gardens, using energizing pressures to restore flow and circulation.
• Soleil Plein Sud — A sun-care ritual enriched with protective and restorative ingredients, awakening the senses with warm, luminous notes.
• Ocean Awakening — A harmonizing sequence of warm and cool sensations, mirrored by enveloping gestures that open energy pathways.
Beyond individual treatments, Guerlain also curates multi-day holistic wellness retreats. Designed around the four pillars of well-being — sleep, mindfulness, nutrition, and physical activity — these programs accompany guests throughout their voyage with meditative practices, movement sessions, nature experiences, and transformative spa ceremonies.
“We are redefining luxury wellness at sea,” says Gabrielle Saint-Genis, CEO of Guerlain. “Every ritual is created to nourish the body and spirit with the timeless elegance that unites our two Maisons.”

Orient Express Corinthian: A Floating Masterpiece
Majestic in presence and intimate in scale, the Orient Express Corinthian measures 220 meters and carries just 54 suites — each offering panoramic views and an atmosphere shaped by artisanal detail. Suites range from 43 to an extraordinary 225 square meters.
The yacht was meticulously crafted over four years at France’s Chantiers de l’Atlantique, one of the world’s leading shipyards. Its interiors, envisioned by architect and Artistic Director Maxime d’Angeac, evoke the splendor of a modern palace: sculptural lighting, hand-worked materials, curated artworks, and details inspired by vintage French glamour.
Sustainability is integral to the yacht’s design. Wind-assisted propulsion, optimized energy systems, and environmentally conscious materials reflect a new vision of responsible luxury where elegance and stewardship coexist.
A World of Culture and Gastronomy at Sea
Life onboard extends far beyond the spa. Guests can:
- Browse a curated library of 1,500 rare books
- Enjoy a cinema inspired by the golden age of film
- Attend intimate concerts and cultural gatherings in the musical salon
- Wander expansive decks where the ever-changing horizon becomes a living gallery
Culinary artistry, led by multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, rounds out the experience. His menus reinterpret French gastronomy through a maritime lens, transforming each meal into a continuation of the sensory journey begun in the spa.
A New Chapter in the Art of Travel
Aboard the Orient Express Corinthian, the boundaries between wellness, culture, exploration, and luxury dissolve. The result is not merely a voyage but an odyssey — a slow, luminous immersion into beauty, craftsmanship, and serenity.
The Orient Express Corinthian will begin sailing the Mediterranean in June 2026, followed by its Caribbean season in October 2026.
