The Carnival Party
16 – 17 February 2026 | 2 days – 1 night
To mark Carnival, La Dolce Vita Orient Express presents an elegant and festive journey linking Rome to Venice, where thetradition of masks dates back to the 13th century.
The voyage begins in Rome with a private welcome at the La Dolce Vita lounge. On board, a gastronomic lunch by three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck accompanies the passage through vineyards and olive groves.
A stop in Siena offers time to explore the medieval city. Guests may wander its narrow streets or choose from a curatedselection of cultural experiences: a private visit to the Duomo, exclusive access to historic palazzi, immersion in the traditionsof the Contrade and the Palio, or an introduction to the ancient art of gold-leaf painting led by local artisans.
As evening falls, the train is transformed. Fine dining gives way to a masked celebration: live music, piano bar and Carnival-inspired games create the atmosphere of a ball carried along the rails.
The following morning, the train arrives at Venezia Santa Lucia. Venice, in the height of Carnival, extends the experience through itscalli, on St Mark’s Square and withinthe masked balls for which it is renowned. The journey concludes, but the Voyage continues.
