Grand Bohemian Orlando Begins a New Chapter as Hotel Beauden

One of downtown Orlando’s best-known hotels has entered a new era. Grand Bohemian Orlando is now Hotel Beauden, an Autograph Collection Hotel with a refreshed identity inspired by Orlando’s history, cultural energy and long-standing nickname, “The City Beautiful.”

Pronounced “Boh-den,” the new name was officially introduced on September 1, 2026. Although the branding has changed, the hotel remains part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and continues under its existing leadership and service team.

The transition is intended to strengthen the property’s connection with downtown Orlando, an area that offers visitors a very different experience from the city’s famous theme-park districts. From its location on South Orange Avenue, Hotel Beauden places guests within walking distance of performing arts venues, professional sports, restaurants, nightlife and Lake Eola Park.

A Hotel Inspired by “The City Beautiful”

Hotel Beauden’s identity draws from Orlando’s “City Beautiful” designation, which dates to the city’s early civic development and remains part of its official branding.

The hotel has been positioned as an urban gathering place reflecting the changing character of downtown Orlando, where arts, cuisine, business and community events increasingly overlap.

That local connection can be seen immediately in the lobby. A new mural by American artist Amy Rader, titled The Beautiful Becoming, takes inspiration from Orlando’s lakes and spirit of reinvention. The work incorporates references to Lake Eola, the city’s iconic swans and the geometric gold pattern used throughout the hotel.

The property’s Rotunda has also been redesigned as a more functional gathering space. New banquette seating, softly illuminated tables, drapery and improved acoustics are intended to make the area more comfortable for informal meetings, social events and live programming.

The changes follow a major renovation completed in 2024 that updated the hotel’s guestrooms and public areas.

Libra Brings a New Restaurant Concept Downtown

The hotel’s culinary identity is changing along with its name. The Boheme restaurant and Bösendorfer Lounge have been replaced by Libra, a restaurant and bar concept whose name refers to balance.

Led by Executive Chef Francisco Sillero, Libra draws from the cultures and communities that have helped shape modern Orlando. Its menu blends Hispanic, Floridian and Asian influences with seasonal ingredients and classical cooking techniques.

Dishes include smoked crab dip served with fried garlic gremolata and crispy wontons, pork belly with soy glaze, pickled carrots and toasted cashews, and seared salmon accompanied by local grains, poblano crema and roasted tomatillo chow chow.

The menu’s combination of regional ingredients and international flavors reflects Orlando’s unusually diverse culinary scene. While many travelers still associate the destination primarily with theme-park dining, downtown Orlando and its surrounding neighborhoods have developed a growing collection of independent restaurants, cocktail bars and chef-led concepts.

Libra will also continue one of the former Grand Bohemian’s best-known traditions: Sunday Jazz Brunch. Held weekly, the brunch combines live music with carving and omelet stations, a cinnamon roll cart, desserts and brunch cocktails.

Music Remains Part of the Hotel’s Character

Live music has long been woven into the hotel experience, particularly through its popular jazz brunch and lounge performances. Hotel Beauden plans to continue that tradition while expanding its relationships with Orlando’s arts community.

A newly installed Steinway grand piano now occupies the center of the Rotunda. The instrument is connected to a new partnership with the Steinway Society of Central Florida, an organization that helps make musical education and instruments more accessible to children.

Additional locally inspired events and cultural programming are scheduled to be introduced throughout the fall. Together with the hotel’s art collection, mural and live performances, these programs are designed to establish the property as more than a place to sleep.

A Downtown Alternative to Orlando’s Resort Districts

Hotel Beauden offers a useful option for travelers who want to discover Orlando beyond its theme parks. Its central location makes it possible to explore several of the city’s major cultural and entertainment attractions without relying on long drives between sprawling resort developments.

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is nearby and hosts touring Broadway productions, concerts, dance performances, comedy and other live events. Sports fans and concertgoers can also walk to the Kia Center, home of the NBA’s Orlando Magic and one of the city’s principal entertainment venues.

Lake Eola Park provides a quieter contrast. Located in the heart of downtown, the park is known for its walking path, fountain, resident swans and views of the Orlando skyline. The surrounding streets contain restaurants, bars and gathering places, while nearby Church Street remains one of downtown’s historic entertainment corridors.

The hotel’s proximity to City Hall and Orlando’s central business district also makes it suitable for business travelers, meetings and conferences.

Guestrooms, Events and Rooftop Relaxation

Hotel Beauden has 247 guestrooms and suites, along with meeting rooms, wedding venues and social-event spaces. The interiors retain the polished, art-forward character associated with the former Grand Bohemian while incorporating the property’s new Orlando-inspired identity.

Guests also have access to a rooftop pool and lounge overlooking downtown. The elevated setting provides a place to relax between sightseeing, performances or business meetings, with skyline views that reinforce the hotel’s urban location.

As an Autograph Collection property, Hotel Beauden continues to participate in Marriott Bonvoy. Autograph Collection specializes in independently styled hotels that maintain their individual design and character while receiving access to Marriott’s reservation and loyalty network.

A Familiar Hotel With a More Local Identity

The arrival of Hotel Beauden is not a complete reinvention of the former Grand Bohemian Orlando. Its location, team, guestrooms and commitment to art and music remain familiar.

What has changed is the hotel’s relationship with its surroundings. Through its new name, Orlando-inspired artwork, locally influenced restaurant and cultural partnerships, Hotel Beauden is placing greater emphasis on downtown Orlando itself.

For travelers who know Orlando mainly through its theme parks, the hotel offers a base for discovering another side of the destination—one shaped by performing arts, professional sports, neighborhood dining, public spaces and a growing downtown cultural scene.
