A Guide to Brunch in Dubai

Dubai’s brunch culture is vibrant and diverse, reflecting the city’s cosmopolitan nature and its status as a global culinary hub. Many of the city’s hotels and restaurants offer elaborate brunches that feature a wide array of international cuisines, from Middle Eastern and Asian to European and American.   • Not all brunches in Dubai are an overfill-your-plate buffet experience – many now offer à la carte menus and table service. Thai-Japanese restaurant MayaBay, nestled within Jumeirah Al Naseem’s turtle lagoon, hosts a Maya Brunch which gives guests the chance to enjoy four courses plus free-flowing sushi, sashimi, and dumplings.   • The Nice Guy at Jumeirah Emirates Towers is known for its American-inspired Italian dining and a quirky ‘no photos’ policy. Its brunch menu has plenty to choose from – including starters, pizzas, pasta, mains and desserts – you can just order what you want.   • La Cantine Du Faubourg, also at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, pays homage to traditional Parisian brunches with its à la carte ‘Brunch 105’. Guests can take their pick from the all-inclusive pastries, eggs, signature dishes and sweets. Three-hour packages are available every Saturday between 12pm and 5pm and every Sunday between 1pm and 6pm, starting from Dhs375 per person.
  • Japanese restaurant Mimi Kakushi at Four Seasons Resort Dubai is regarded as one of the best à la carte brunches in the city. Guests get to choose their main course and are also brought a selection of bites, cold and hot starters, sides and dessert.   • It’s not just the kids who will enjoy the LEGO-themed brunch at LEGOLAND Hotel’s Bricks Family Restaurant. The ‘Bricks Brunch’ has an international food offering, live cooking stations and activities including a LEGO building bonanza, kids kitchen, and crazy craft corner.   • Indian restaurant Carnival by Tresind serves brunch every Saturday at its venue in DIFC, but every Sunday it also hosts its popular ‘Carnival Family Fiesta’.   • Le Gourmet at Galeries Lafayette in Dubai Mall serves a family brunch on Sundays. The all-day dining venue offers live music and a dedicated play area. Every Sunday, starting from Dhs60 for children and Dhs140 for adults.
  • At Reform Social & Grill’s ‘Sunday Sessions’ in The Lakes, families can enjoy a two-hour package which includes a BBQ platter. Every Sunday from 12pm, starting from Dhs280 per person.

  • Pizza and music is on the menu at PizzaExpress Live in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT).  The restaurant hosts a ‘Double Trouble Brunch’ – buy one brunch and get one free. The deal includes unlimited starters, one main course and a dessert. Every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm, Dhs378 for two people.
  • The UAE’s first Jamaican food restaurant and lounge, Ting Irie in Downtown Dubai, is the place to go for an Afro-Caribbean party. Its Jamaican brunch menu features authentic dishes such as patties, homemade jerk chicken, and oxtail and beans. Every Saturday from 2pm to 6.30pm, starting from Dhs199 per person.
  • Enjoy brunch and games at Boom Battle Bar, the over-21s entertainment venue located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai on Jumeirah Beach. ‘The Big Boom Brunch’ offers a feast of street food, one round of crazier golf and a live DJ. Every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm, starting from Dhs195 per person.

Party brunches

  • Japanese restaurant OKKU, at the Marriott Resort on Palm Jumeirah, launched its ‘Disco Brunch’ in May 2024. Guests can enjoy a specially curated Japanese brunch menu and dance to classic songs from the 80s, 90s and noughties. If you want to continue the fun, an after-party is held straight after brunch.   • The weekend finishes on a high note at Seven Sisters Dubai’s Sunday brunch. Located at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, the restaurant offers a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian culinary delights plus music. Every Sunday, starting from Dhs249.

Evening brunches

  • Start the weekend on Palm Jumeirah at AURA Skypool’s AURA Night Brunch. Held in the lounge, guests can enjoy a Pan-Asian-inspired set sharing menu and entertainment from a resident DJ. Every Friday from 8pm to 11pm, starting from Dhs480 per person.
  • Live entertainment, stunning views and refined Asian-fusion delicacies are on the ‘Soiree Brunch’ menu at Barfly by Buddha-Bar, located on the rooftop of the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah. Every Saturday from 7pm until 11pm, starting from Dhs365 per person.
  • Midweek brunches are also becoming a popular option for diners in Dubai. At Parisian restaurant Josette in DIFC, a Tuesday evening brunch menu features oysters and caviar, snails, mains, desserts and entertainment from renowned DJs. Every Tuesday from 7pm to 10pm, starting from Dhs450 per person.
  • Thursday is the new Friday, or Saturday, at Hutong in DIFC, which hosts a ‘Dark Brunch’ with northern Chinese cuisine, live music and entertainment. Indulgent dishes include spiced octopus, braised Japanese Wagyu beef, and the signature Hutong Dessert Platter. Every Thursday from 9pm, starting from Dhs288 per person.
