Aleenta Phuket Phang Nga Resort & Spa Launches ‘Beyond the Ordinary’ Wellness Retreat Series

Known for its signature wellness program, Aleenta Resorts has launched Beyond the Ordinary (BTO) Retreats, a series of specialist pop-up retreats focused on themes such as Exploring the Female Psyche. Hosted by visiting leaders-in-their-field, these new additions to the retreat roster are facilitated at the acclaimed Ayurah Wellness Centre located on the private, secluded grounds of Aleenta Phuket Phang Nga Resort & Spa.

‘Ayurah’ is the Thai word for ‘long life’ whose key ingredients are balance and moderation. The new retreat series centres around this concept of longevity, emphasizing the importance of harmony and moderation as its fundamental elements and encouraging guests to embody this concept. Aleenta Phuket offers an innovative approach to wellness that breaks the mould of traditional retreats with the Ayurah BTO series.

The Beyond the Ordinary series of retreats launches with:

  • The Essence of Ashram, available for one week each month between now and November, (excluding July) welcomes guests to share their interest in yoga with Yogi Aayush Sharma as a fusion of an Ashram experience in a luxury setting. Guests will find abundant space, strength in connection with others, and the privacy to suit their needs. This retreat offers a sublime and energizing entry into traditional yoga methods, with generous support from expert yogis, to develop an evolving pathway to deeper yoga.
  • Retreat includes: three or more ashram-styled activities each day, full board wellness menus (including vegan and plant-based options) and round-trip airport transfer.
  • Exploring the Feminine Psyche (6 – 12 October 2023) led by yoga teacher Saniya Acharya in collaboration with naturopath Heidi Hogarth, plant-based nutritionist Samatha Haberli and psychologist/sex therapist Dr. Debbie Lovell, provides a safe space for women to meet and share with a tribe of impassioned souls to explore biopsychosocial needs, hormonal issues and menopause. This life-evolving retreat will integrate psychotherapy, sexology, integrative healthcare, naturopathy, plant-based cuisine, nutrition, drumming experiences, digestive health, exercise, movement, breathwork, yoga, traditional-Thai medicine, massage, bodywork and beauty-focused care.
  • Retreat includes: round trip airport transfers, accommodation in Grand Deluxe Pool Villa, three wellness cuisine meals per day (plant-based), daily beverages, Health Diagnostics (Body Composition Analysis | Blood Pressure | Chakra Analysis), retreat goodie-bag and complementary novel from the genre of Philosophical or Spiritual Fiction (lucky dip).

The Beyond the Ordinary series complements Aleenta’s ongoing program of signature retreats. These range from 3 to 21 nights and are designed to help guests slow down and discover their best-selves whether it relates to health, relationships, productivity, performance or a combination of all four.

Anchalika Kijkanakorn, Managing Director at Aleenta Resorts says, “We’ve developed this new retreat series based on our insights into specific guest needs across our Aleenta hotel collection. Beyond the Ordinary, goes a step further to fully explore themes that require a more collaborative approach. Like all our programs, the BTO Retreat series speaks to the intersection of wellness and spirituality that’s central to our culture here in Thailand.”

Aleenta Phuket is a beachfront resort located on Natai beach, just 25 minutes from Phuket International Airport. The resort features 96 spacious rooms, suites and villas – all with direct pool access – and dining options including the newly opened SEASONS restaurant, southern Thailand’s first plant-based fine-dining restaurant. Aleenta, which means ‘a rewarding life’, has served as the hotel collection’s manifesto since its launch in 2006 with the inaugural Aleenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa, the subsequent addition of Aleenta Phuket Phang Nga Resort & Spa and Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai which opened in April this year.
