Artful Escape at Honolulu’s Crown Jewel, Prince Waikiki

Hotels and resorts around the world boast art collections and installations that rival museums, offering guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in curated art experiences that reflect their destination. One such hotel is Prince Waikiki, a contemporary oceanfront hotel located in the intersection of Honolulu's vibrant and culturally diverse Chinatown, Kakaako, Ala Moana, and Waikiki neighborhoods.

With an emphasis in art and design, the property boasts Waikikis largest contemporary art collection by local Hawaiian artists. Original paintings by Solomon Enos and sculptures by John Koga are on display for visitors to admire, while signature pieces include the hotel’s iconic copper ceiling installation by acclaimed local artist Kaili Chun. Named Hulali i ka lā, which translates to glistening in the sun, is a breathtaking, custom sculpture featuring 800 copper pieces spanning the length of the lobby and is inspired by the area’s heritage as a prominent gathering place.

Expanding upon Prince Waikiki’s support of the local arts community in Honolulu, the property announced a brand-new partnership with Honolulu Museum of Art (HoMA) in spring 2022. As part of the partnership, hotel guests are eligible to receive one complimentary adult access pass for every key card shown and a complimentary pass for children 18 years old and younger.
