Outrigger Hospitality Group, the premier beach resort brand in the world, is pleased to announce the official reopening of Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger, Hawaii’s first and only craft hotel, on November 13, 2020. In addition to Waikiki Beachcomber’s unique style and design aesthetic – which was curated by The Beachcomber Originals, a collection of local artisans and influencers to offer a one-of-a-kind, immersive stay for guests – the property has implemented guidelines from Outrigger’s Clean Commitment and adapted its services to further accommodate guests’ safety and wellbeing from check-in to check-out.
Kicking off the reopening, Outrigger continues its longstanding partnership with Hawaii Food & Wine Festival (HFWF) by participating in the 10th annual event. On November 18, Maui Brewing Co., located inside the Waikiki Beachcomber property, will host the sold-out ‘Native Feast,’ a reservation-only, four-course collaboration dinner featuring Chef Sean Sherman, founder of the company The Sioux Chef; Kealoha Domingo, chef and Hawaiian cultural practitioner; and Terry Lynch, executive chef partner at Maui Brewing Co. at Waikiki Beachcomber. In accordance with state-wide gathering, indoor dining and social distancing guidelines, ‘Native Feast’ attendees will indulge and explore the native cuisines of Hawaiians and Native Americans, as well as enjoy expertly paired cocktails and local craft beer from the Maui Brewing Co. brewmaster. The hotel’s anchor restaurant will be open to the public starting November 16 from 3:30-9:30pm.
“Hawaii is open and we extend our sincere aloha to incoming travelers with a warm welcome back to Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger, where they can experience a safe and worry-free stay in the heart of Waikiki,” said Sean Dee, EVP and chief marketing officer at Outrigger Hospitality Group. “As a long-time sponsor of the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, we are pleased to offer guests the opportunity to taste the finest Hawaiian and Native American dishes and drinks, all while supporting our local culinary talent and tastemakers – helping them to get back on their feet after months of uncertainty.”
HFWF is the premier epicurean destination event in the Pacific that spotlights the agriculture, restaurant and hospitality industries that have been impacted by the global health crisis. Now in its 10th year, HFWF will highlight Hawaii’s culinary excellence with a star-studded lineup over a modified, three-weekend program in Oahu to ensure the safety of participants and attendees, while supporting the local Hawaii community.
