This winter, the Thompson Okanagan beckons with exceptional snow conditions, boasting an average of 23 feet (7 meters) of natural, dry, and fluffy powder that the region is famous for. With over 16,000 acres of skiable terrain and world-class resorts that combine adventure with relaxation, it’s the ultimate destination for winter enthusiasts. Thanks to moderate temperatures and Mother Nature’s generosity, the region enjoys soft, dry powder all season long—no artificial snow required.

Beyond downhill skiing and snowboarding, the region offers tubing, skating, fat biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more. After a day on the slopes, visitors can indulge in mountain cuisine, enjoy cultural activities, or attend one of the many local festivals and events.

For U.S. visitors, this is the perfect time to visit, with the American dollar stretching 25-30% further, making it an even more affordable winter getaway. Convenient access to the region is a breeze, with airports in Kamloops, Penticton, and Kelowna, including direct flights to Kelowna from major cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
