Future Found Sanctuary, Cape Town’s first and only 5-star regenerative travel destination, launches a new series of Retreat Packages on 13 September.
The Hout Bay property, which forms part of the Newmark Hotels & Reserves portfolio, is nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain, offering a peaceful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The new retreat packages have been created by Newmark’s Wellness Director, Steve Uria, who brings a wealth of wellness experience to his role within the hotel group.
“People are no longer looking to just book a hotel stay but to regroup, recover and regenerate. To meet this demand, we have put together a series of small group wellness retreats, hosted at Future Found Sanctuary, that are designed with a great mix of physical, emotional and mental modalities to help people reset during their stay with us,” commented Uria.
Reset Retreat
The two-night Reset Retreat begins with a sage energy smudge, garden elixirs and herbal teas while guests settle in and orientate themselves before they commence with a personal wellness assessment. After lunch guests enjoy a walk through the magnificent seven-acre Future Found Sanctuary gardens. Those wanting to explore further can enjoy a hike to one of the waterfalls in the neighbouring Table Mountain National Park. After dinner they will enjoy a Sound Journey experience before retreating to their private luxury suite for the evening.
Day two begins with seasonal freshly pressed juices and herbal teas, yoga and a guided meditation before breakfast. In the afternoon guests can enjoy IV-Drip therapy treatment to revitalize themselves. Leisure time is available for relaxation and optional spa treatments (over and above the one treatment included in the package). Sundowners are then enjoyed under the outdoor granadilla pergola before dinner is served in this peaceful outdoor location. The day ends with an evening breath workshop.
After a pleasant stretch session on the lawn of Future Found Sanctuary’s Five Elements Garden, guests enjoy breakfast on the final morning and a nutritional workshop providing information on balanced eating and nutritional intake. Guests depart following the closing ceremony.
Rejuvenation Retreat
Day one of the three-day rejuvenation package involves a sage smudge, orientation and greeting circle. There’s time for intention setting journaling and a walk around the beautiful gardens of Future Found Sanctuary. That afternoon guests enjoy a detoxing treatment in the hammam room exfoliating with African based mud scrubs. They can also experience cold-water immersion plunging into the
outdoor natural pond fed with fresh spring water from Table Mountain National Park. A sunset breathwork session is followed by dinner before guests retreat to their private suites for the evening.
Day two begins with seasonal freshly pressed juice and herbal teas, journalling and a morning Vinyasa-Flow Yoga session and guided meditation in the gardens. The afternoon provides time for relaxation or further optional spa treatments and a nutrition workshop. That evening guests are taken on a guided foraging walk in the nearby mountains followed by a cooking class incorporating the hyper-local foraged ingredients into the evening meal.
Day three’s morning wellness practice involves a guided meditation, a sunrise Cacao ceremony and a Yin Yoga outdoor session. Time is allowed for further relaxation or leisure time to explore the city of Cape Town in the afternoon. Dinner that evening is served under the outdoor granadilla pergola before guests enjoy a gratitude practice sound journey. Guests depart on day four after breakfast and a farewell song from the lodge staff.
