Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards with Fairmont Mayakoba recognized as the #1 RESORT in EASTERN MEXICO. This is the fifth year Fairmont Mayakoba has received this prestigious award.
More than 520,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to offer a comprehensive look at the places they eagerly anticipate revisiting. The Reader’s Choice Awards, with their unparalleled legacy as the travel industry’s longest running and most prestigious accolades, remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector. Fairmont Mayakoba is a AAA-5 Diamond luxury resort nestled in the heart of Riviera Maya, featuring 401 rooms set on 45 acres within the private luxury community of Mayakoba. Surrounded by a lush mangrove forest intersected by water canals, the property offers over 46,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting spaces. The initial phases of the property’s multi-million dollar renovation were completed earlier this year, including the transformation of guest rooms, casitas and suites and an overhaul of all restaurants and bars, the resort’s three beach pools, main pool, reception area and lobby. The resort also added a second kids club, two new dining outlets in the main resort and an exclusive new beach club, Maykana, featuring five new dining outlets surrounded by three spectacular pools. Currently, the resort is finalizing the renovation with the completion of the spa.
