Arctic Bath invites guests to Fire & Ice – A weekend of warmth, cold, and inner strength

As the Lule River slips into darkness and the season’s first snow falls, Arctic Bath once again welcomes guests to Fire & Ice—a retreat that has quickly become a beloved tradition. Now in its third edition, the weekend invites participants to embrace contrasts: plunges into icy waters balanced by warm sauna rituals, serene moments in nature offset by lively gatherings around the table, and a blend of deep rest with invigorating renewal.

The experience captures the essence of Arctic Bath itself—where opposites meet in harmony. It is a celebration of the property’s defining features: striking architecture, cuisine crafted from Arctic ingredients, and the heartfelt hospitality that ensures every guest feels at ease.

This year’s programme is further enriched by the guidance of Petra Nilsson, Founder of Master Yoga Sweden, whose retreats at Arctic Bath have long been cherished by participants. Together with Arctic Bath, she leads Fire & Ice, weaving movement, breath, and presence into the weekend.

“Hosting Fire & Ice at Arctic Bath, in the stillness of the Arctic, is profoundly meaningful,” says Petra Nilsson. “Here, nature encourages us to pause, reflect, and transform. Through the interplay of heat, cold, and mindful movement, guests rediscover their resilience. It’s not just about recovery—it’s about remembering what it truly means to feel alive.”

Since 2021, Master Yoga Sweden and Arctic Bath have nurtured a close partnership, and Fire & Ice is a natural continuation of that journey. Both new and returning guests are warmly invited to join. No prior experience with yoga or cold bathing is necessary; each participant is free to explore at their own pace. The retreat provides gentle guidance in embracing contrast—revealing how both warmth and cold can bring vitality, joy, and a sense of inner stillness.
