This summer, Geneva Tourism invites visitors to discover a new side to the city with its latest summer campaign, ‘Unlock Geneva’. Launching from Monday 26 May and running until Wednesday 16 July, the campaign encourages tourists to see Geneva through new eyes, unlocking a world of surprises along the way.
Geneva, at first glance, appears calm and serene with its pristine landscapes and relaxed atmosphere, but with the ‘Unlock Geneva’ campaign, visitors to the city will find that beneath this peaceful exterior lies a vibrant world that is brimming with possibility. An interactive map will guide tourists around the city, taking them to key points of interest which will allow them to bring the city to life through interactive illustrations on their phone screens. When posting this augmented reality experience on social media, visitors will unlock fun rewards including stickers and postcards of the illustrations, as well as being entered into an end-of-summer draw where they will have the chance to win exciting prizes.
There are five hidden realms to be discovered through the campaign, each highlighting a different element of Geneva’s varied offering. Dive into the water world, where visitors can paddle, swim, cruise, or float, with every moment offering a fresh way to enjoy the summer. Foodies will delight in exploring the culinary world, with everything from bistro bites to Michelin starred dining to indulge in as they uncover Geneva’s world of flavour. Sporty types can delve into the outdoor sports world, with parks, trails, and more to discover along the way, while cultural buffs can find their crowd in the cultural world, where music will guide their exploration as the city becomes a stage, with open-air concerts, beachside jazz, and sunrise music sessions to look forward to. The final realm is the family world, perfect for those who have escaped to Geneva on a multi-generational escape, with everything from paddleboat rides to swims and ice creams in the sun on offer to make every moment count.
