Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa Offers Ultimate Pool Experience on Kauai’s Sunny South Shore

Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, a luxurious 605-room resort located on 50 immaculately-landscaped oceanfront acres overlooking Keoneloa Bay, provides a tropical oasis experience with a multi-level water wonderland. The water complex features four sparkling blue pools surrounded by black lava rock, lush florals and greenery, cascading waterfalls, a waterslide in addition to a sand-bottom saltwater lagoon, providing options for every member of the family.

“While our resort offers an extensive list of incredible amenities, the pool area is truly a highlight for our guests,” said Michael Murphy, general manager of Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. “Guests often comment that they can spend days exploring the pools and discover something new each time, from tranquil hideaways and tucked away whirlpools to small islands in the lagoon. The pools showcase beautiful oceanfront views offering an ideal way to take in the beauty of the island while enjoying the sunny weather of Kauai’s South Shore.”

The resort’s tiered poolscape is backdropped by the resort’s oceanfront setting where guests can often see migrating humpback whales throughout winter and spring. On the top level of the complex sits an adult-only pool adjacent to Captain’s Bar which serves a variety of frosty cocktails and lunch specialties. The adult pool connects to a lava rock lined lazy river which winds through multiple waterfall grottos and ocean viewpoints.

The lower-level section features the adventure pool, outfitted with a volleyball net, basketball hoop, and the landing for the 150-foot water slide. The area also features multiple seating areas and close access to one of the complex’s three whirlpools.

The lower level is also home to the resort’s popular saltwater lagoon which overlooks Keoneloa Bay. The 1.5-acre lagoon features a white sandy beach with comfortable lounge chairs and cabanas.

Guests visit the adjoining beach at Keoneloa Bay to watch experienced surfers and bodyboarders showing off their skills. With powerful large swells, the beach is popular with islanders looking to catch the perfect wave. Additionally, the resort is just a short walk or drive from the world-famous Poipu Beach which is widely renowned for its white sand, protective reef, and gentle waves, ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
