Jumeirah Privé Sets Sail with The Maltese Falcon

Jumeirah, the global name synonymous with luxury hospitality and part of Dubai Holding, has unveiled a landmark collaboration: The Maltese Falcon, a Jumeirah Privé Experience. This partnership brings one of the world’s most iconic sailing superyachts into the Jumeirah Privé portfolio, marking the brand’s bold entry into the realm of luxury yachting.

The Maltese Falcon becomes the second destination in the Privé collection, joining Jumeirah Thanda Island. Conceived as a curated portfolio of ultra-exclusive escapes, Jumeirah Privé blends absolute privacy with the brand’s celebrated service and amenities. Guests aboard The Maltese Falcon will enjoy the same thoughtful design, culinary artistry, wellness expertise, and anticipatory service that define Jumeirah’s properties worldwide — now reimagined at sea.

At 88 metres, The Maltese Falcon is instantly recognisable and widely regarded as one of the finest yachts ever built. Since its launch in 2006, it has earned more than 18 awards for its innovation, craftsmanship, and timeless design. Its pioneering DynaRig system — three freestanding carbon-fibre masts unfurling 2,400 square metres of sail in just six minutes — remains a marvel of engineering.

Following an extensive refit, the yacht now boasts refreshed interiors and exteriors, along with advanced technical upgrades. Designed to accommodate up to 12 guests, it features a full-beam master suite, a private VIP deck with terrace access, and four double cabins with en-suite facilities. Leisure highlights include a dramatic three-deck atrium with skylight, an outdoor cinema projected onto the sails, a rotating sunbed on the flybridge, and a dedicated wellness area with massage room and fitness studio. Guests can also enjoy a wide array of water sports, including jet skis, kayaks, JetSurf boards, paddleboards, and snorkelling gear.

The Maltese Falcon will embark on its first voyage under the Jumeirah Privé banner in December 2025, departing from Antigua. Seasonal itineraries will span the Mediterranean — including the Balearic Islands, French Riviera, Monaco, Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, and Türkiye — before returning to the Caribbean for winter journeys through Antigua, The Bahamas, Saint Martin, and St. Barth.

Thomas B. Meier, Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah, commented:

“The Maltese Falcon marks an exciting new chapter for Jumeirah Privé, extending our reach into luxury yachting. This collaboration is designed for the most discerning travellers, combining privacy, exclusivity, and exceptional service. The yacht’s heritage and craftsmanship are extraordinary, and we will elevate the onboard journey with our culinary expertise, wellness experiences, and the warm Arabian hospitality that defines Jumeirah.”

Jumeirah Privé was first introduced with Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania, offering ultra-high-net-worth individuals a collection of homes, estates, private islands, and experiences in the world’s most desirable destinations. It sits alongside Jumeirah Icons, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, and Jumeirah Residences — four pillars designed to meet the evolving expectations of today’s luxury traveller.

Looking ahead, Jumeirah remains on track to double its portfolio by 2030, expanding sustainably across key global markets. Guided by a vision to become the world’s most influential hospitality brand, Jumeirah continues to enrich guest experiences through intentional design, mindful living, and holistic wellbeing.
