La Dolce Vita Orient Express Launches Golf Itinerary

As Special Partner of the Italian Open, La Dolce Vita Orient Express announces an exclusive journey through Italy’s golf courses

On the occasion of the 2025 Italian Open, a highlight on the European golf calendar, La Dolce Vita Orient Express – Special Partner of the event – is unveiling its first itineraries designed exclusively for golf enthusiasts. This new experience aims to elevate Italy’s status as a premier golf destination, celebrating the country’s rich sporting heritage through a refined and immersive journey. A unique encounter between sport and slow travel, this experience embodies the essence of Italian elegance – both on and off the green.

To mark its partnership with the Italian Open, La Dolce Vita Orient Express will present a special prize to the first player to achieve a hole-in-one during the tournament: an exclusive two-night journey aboard the La Dolce Vita Orient Express, followed by a stay at the new Orient Express La Minerva Hotel in Rome – a signature experience of relaxation and refined hospitality.

Set to depart in October 2025, the new itineraries invite golfers, enthusiasts, and their companions to embark on an extraordinary voyage across some of Italy’s golf destinations. Complementing the train’s existing portfolio of eight itineraries, this curated experience combines world-class courses with postcard-perfect landscapes, Michelin-starred cuisine, and the timeless charm of Italian lifestyle. Aboard, guests will be accompanied by an internationally renowned professional golfer for the duration of the journey.

The itinerary Northern Greens, will begin at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club – host of the 2023 Ryder Cup – following a welcome reception in the exclusive La Dolce Vita Lounge at Rome’s Ostiense Station. Subsequent stops include Franciacorta Golf Club, Royal Park I Roveri, Antognolla Golf Club, or Terme di Saturnia Natural SPA & Golf Resort, offering a refined blend of competitive play, scenic beauty, and exceptional hospitality.

In November, the experience will expand with a second itinerary, Italian Swing, spanning the Central and Southern regions of Italy. This new route will include stops at San Domenico Golf Club in Puglia, The Club at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, and Argentario Golf Club – Italy’s only PGA-licensed facility.

Conceived for an international audience, the project further enhances Italy’s position as a premier golf and lifestyle destination. It combines the heritage of luxury train travel with the prestige of some of the country’s most celebrated golf courses. In collaboration with the Italian Golf Federation (FIG), this initiative supports sustainable, high-end sports tourism, designed to highlight Italy’s cultural and natural beauty.

The journey will be enriched with bespoke technical masterclasses and personalized services. Each stop will offer a warm welcome, exclusive materials, and gourmet moments on the green – seamlessly merging the pleasure of play with the discovery of Italian excellence.

The agreement between La Dolce Vita Orient Express and the Italian Open has been signed in collaboration with Infront, official advisor of the Italian Golf Federation (FIG).
