Las Alamandas unveiled today an extensive renovation to the exclusive romantic hideaway, situated on 2,000 acres along the Pacific Coast of Mexico, known as the Costalegre. This intimate luxury retreat, often cited as one of the world’s most romantic hotels, has reopened with elegantly renovated suites and a new villa, Casa Bougainvillea, bringing the resort’s total to 18 luxurious suites among eight villas.

Managed like a stylish, secluded private estate where guests feel completely at home, Las Alamandas is set on its own private sweep of white-sand pacific beach, just two hours from Puerto Vallarta and an hour and 30 minutes from Manzanillo. The resort also offers a private 3,300-foot airstrip for guests arriving by private plane.

The new villa, Casa Bougainvillea, offers spectacular sunset views over the main Plaza Delfines and the hotel’s iconic pink dome. This new ocean view villa offers a more contemporary vibe, while retaining the essence of Las Alamandas. It features two spacious, bright suites with white polished cement floors, Mexican arts & crafts accents, and stunning bathrooms with generous sexy double showers featuring shades of hot pink hand painted tiles.

The ground floor bedroom has its own entrance, two Queen sized beds with an en suite bathroom and an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi. The suite’s balcony is perfect for breakfasts with a view, and its large daybed, ideal for enjoying a siesta, completes this glamorous suite for families or friends.

A dramatic staircase with a sensual hot pink polished cement ramp leads to the top suite’s own private entrance. This suite, with a romantic four-poster bed and an en suite bathroom with a spacious and sexy double shower with hot pink accented hand-painted tiles, is the ultimate honeymoon or proposal suite. Its romantic rooftop balcony, with a daybed, Jacuzzi and a stunning panoramic view of all of Las Alamandas, offers an ideal setting for breakfasts or evening cocktails.

The new “La Palapa Beach Club,” featuring a soaring traditional thatched palapa ceiling, is lighter and more contemporary with chic yellow and white details and exquisite stonework on the floor. There is an additional deck for relaxed sunbathing and to enjoy private dining surrounded by candles gazing out at the ocean. A new double-sided bar and a fully functional outdoor kitchen serve cold cocktails and the most delicious “café” dishes all day, offering a casual tacos & tapas menu to be enjoyed either in the Palapa or in the new garden lounge.

For luxurious social distancing, there is a new stylish, oceanfront “Oasis Pergola” perfect for dining alfresco. With only three intimate tables or a possibility of reserving it for your own romantic candlelight dinner, it is the perfect intimate setting. Menus change daily and highlight the freshest local and organic farm to table ingredients.

New wellness offerings include a new, intimate spa with a treatment room, steam room, and beauty salon, as well as a completely remodeled fitness center. Spa treatments are available in-room, at the spa, or in a peaceful palapa nestled beside the ocean. Guests can also enjoy private yoga in a dedicated palapa on a lush lawn, steps from the beach.

The expansive coastal property is perfect for social distancing, and each suite offers a spacious outdoor terrace, many with Jacuzzis and plunge pools. The lush grounds and enhanced landscaping complement the villas’ vibrant colors, featuring stunning pops of bright pink and orange from both the buildings and flowers throughout the resort.

Ideal for buyouts, Las Alamandas can customize offerings for celebrations and gatherings including destination weddings, family reunions, birthdays, or corporate teams – allowing groups to enjoy this spacious retreat in paradise for personal use.

“Las Alamandas is an exquisite jewel on the Costalegre, and we’ve now transformed this chic, natural haven to be even more luxurious,” said Las Alamandas owner, Isabel Goldsmith-Patiño. “The serenity, privacy and attention to detail throughout the property is superb, and I’m excited to welcome new and returning guests to this very special piece of paradise.”
