Nestled within 300 hectares of forest in France’s picturesque Loire Valley, Loire Valley Lodges continues to redefine luxury travel by blending contemporary art, nature, gastronomy, and wellness into one unforgettable destination. This summer, the boutique retreat has unveiled three artist-designed treehouse lodges, introduced a fresh seasonal dining concept, and launched curated “Passion Stays” that allow guests to experience the region through their personal interests.

Just two hours from Paris, Loire Valley Lodges has earned a reputation as one of France’s most distinctive countryside escapes. Rather than focusing on traditional luxury, the property offers an immersive experience where architecture, forest landscapes, locally inspired cuisine, and contemporary art come together in harmony.

A New Chapter for Forest Luxury

The latest expansion adds three new elevated lodges, bringing the estate’s total to 21 private accommodations. Suspended among the treetops, each lodge has been created in collaboration with a contemporary artist, transforming every stay into a living work of art.

Each new suite tells its own story:

  • Into the Wild, created by founder Anne-Caroline Frey, draws inspiration from Africa’s sweeping landscapes and the photography of Peter Beard. Earthy textures, natural materials, and wildlife-inspired artwork create an atmosphere that feels both adventurous and deeply tranquil.
  • Reflets, designed by artist David Sitbon, embraces vibrant colors, photography, and light-filled interiors that celebrate movement, creativity, and optimism.
  • Ride My Bike, by New York artist Thalia Lempert, celebrates cycling as a symbol of freedom and exploration. Shades of green, contemporary design, and Brooklyn-inspired details connect urban creativity with the serenity of the surrounding forest.

The resort has also become dog-friendly, welcoming four-legged companions with dedicated amenities designed to make pets feel just as pampered as their owners.

Seasonal Dining Inspired by the Forest

Food has always been central to the Loire Valley Lodges experience, and this season the resort has introduced Ardent Summer Session, a relaxed interpretation of fine dining that evolves alongside the changing seasons.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, the concept offers guests a more casual atmosphere while maintaining the creativity and craftsmanship that have made the estate’s culinary program a highlight.

Menus celebrate ingredients harvested directly from the surrounding landscape and the property’s own farm. Seasonal vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, locally sourced meats, and fire-cooked dishes take center stage, while inventive desserts incorporate flavors drawn from the forest, including Scots pine, spruce, and ground ivy.

Guests can enjoy meals poolside, in the fragrant herb garden courtyard, or inside the elegant dining spaces, depending on the season and mood.

Introducing Passion Stays

For travelers looking for more than a traditional hotel stay, Loire Valley Lodges has introduced Passion Stays—curated experiences designed around individual interests.

These all-inclusive escapes combine accommodations, dining, and personalized itineraries focused on themes such as:

  • Golf at some of Touraine and Sologne’s premier courses
  • Touring the Loire Valley’s legendary châteaux, including UNESCO-listed landmarks like Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau
  • Exploring the internationally renowned gardens of Chaumont-sur-Loire
  • Discovering the celebrated vineyards and wineries that make the Loire Valley one of France’s premier wine regions

The new packages reflect the property’s philosophy that meaningful travel should be effortless, immersive, and deeply personal.

Sustainability at the Heart of the Estate

One of the defining features of Loire Valley Lodges is LaFerme, the property’s thriving agricultural project that supplies the kitchens with vegetables, herbs, fruit, edible flowers, and poultry.

Designed as a living ecosystem, LaFerme operates according to sustainable farming principles that prioritize biodiversity, seasonal production, and environmental responsibility. The project strengthens the connection between the land and every guest experience, ensuring many of the ingredients served in the restaurants come directly from the estate itself.

A Different Way to Experience the Loire Valley

While many visitors come to the Loire Valley for its magnificent castles and vineyards, Loire Valley Lodges offers an entirely different perspective. Here, luxury is measured not by extravagance but by immersion—waking among the trees, dining on ingredients harvested just steps away, exploring contemporary art installations hidden throughout the forest, and reconnecting with nature at a slower pace.

With its newest artist-designed lodges, thoughtfully curated Passion Stays, evolving culinary experiences, and continued commitment to sustainability, Loire Valley Lodges further strengthens its position as one of France’s most innovative boutique retreats for travelers seeking a deeper connection with both nature and culture.
