Luxury Mountain Biking Retreat in Verbier: Ride the Swiss Alps in Style

High above Verbier, The Lodge from the Virgin Limited Edition collection is launching a new Mountain Biking Retreat from 6 to 13 September 2026. This exclusive event turns the nine-bedroom alpine chalet into a gathering place for riders who want more than great trails. Guests can expect expert coaching, high-altitude adventure, and all-inclusive hospitality.

The retreat welcomes cyclists of all skill levels and can host up to 18 guests. Whether you are an experienced rider looking to improve or a beginner wanting to gain confidence, you will find support here. Each day includes time on the trails and time to rest, with coaching sessions tailored to your pace. Guests can bring their own bikes or use the complimentary fleet from Swiss brand Thömus, which includes e-mountain bikes.

Verbier sits among the stunning Swiss Alps and offers a wide range of trails that test your skills and reward you with beautiful views. With guidance from Swiss champions Kathrin Stirnemann and Joris Ryf, guests can improve their abilities on different types of terrain. The coaching style is supportive and focused on performance, making each ride exciting and approachable.

Each day, guests enjoy meals created by Head Chef Gerwin Brand, who previously worked at the two Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. The menus feature seasonal, alpine-inspired dishes that help keep your energy up and support recovery, from hearty breakfasts to trail picnics and afternoon teas. In the evenings, guests can relax with fine wines, share stories from the day, and use the chalet’s wellness facilities, such as the indoor pool, hot tubs, sauna, gym, and treatment rooms. Every cycling guest also gets a complimentary sports massage to help with recovery.

Non-riding companions are also welcome and can enjoy The Lodge’s signature experience in their own way. They can relax in the spa, take in the mountain views from the terrace, or try activities like hiking, tennis, or golf. There is plenty to do beyond the biking trails.
