Among them are cultural explorations in Java, Indonesia, island and mountain time in Baja California, Mexico, Inuk-led excursions in northern Quebec, Canada, treks in Jordan and a look at the ancient and modern wonders of Greece. Examples of new land-based tours include:

  • Java Highlights: Experience the best of Java on this 12-day tour in the captivating heart of Indonesia. In Jakarta, see handmade sailing ships in the lively harbor of Sunda Kelapa. Explore the lush Bogor Botanical Gardens, home to more than 15,000 tree species and 5,000 orchid species, and the Gunung Mas Tea Plantation. Walk among hot springs and bubbling mud at the Tangkuban Perahu caldera. Visit Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist temple, and cycle along irrigated fields to a local village, joining in on the rice planting and enjoying a homemade lunch. Visit the Sultan’s Palace in Yogyakarta, as well as the Taman Sari royal compound. Then witness a glorious sunrise from the sacred Mount Bromo, an active volcano in East Java.
