Contour Airlines today announced new nonstop service between Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) in Dominica and Piarco International Airport (POS) in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. Beginning Oct. 5, 2026, the new route will operate twice weekly, establishing an important new air connection between the Eastern Caribbean and one of the region’s key commercial gateways.

In addition to the nonstop service, Contour Airlines will offer one-stop, same-plane service between Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Piarco International Airport (POS), as well as between Cyril E. King Airport (STT) in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and POS. The expanded service strengthens regional connectivity by providing travelers with more convenient options throughout the Caribbean while supporting continued growth in inbound tourism, commerce, and business activity.

“We are excited to continue expanding our Caribbean network with the addition of nonstop service between Dominica and Trinidad & Tobago,” said Ben Munson, president of Contour Airlines. “This route strengthens connectivity within the Eastern Caribbean by making travel more convenient for residents, businesses and visitors alike. Whether traveling for work, family or leisure, passengers will benefit from a fast, comfortable and reliable travel option while supporting stronger economic and tourism ties between these two vibrant destinations.”

Local officials in Dominica welcomed the announcement, highlighting the importance of expanded air service in supporting tourism growth and creating new opportunities for travelers to experience the Nature Island.

“This direct jet service to Trinidad enhances the visitor experience by offering greater comfort, speed and reliability,” said Hon. Denise Charles-Pemberton, Dominica’s minister of tourism. “Trinidad is an important market for Dominica’s tourism sector, and we are excited about the opportunities this route creates for nature enthusiasts, festival lovers and adventure seekers. With world-class birding, hiking, diving and wellness experiences, Dominica offers a natural complement to Trinidad’s vibrant travel community. This service also restores seamless connectivity through Piarco International Airport, providing convenient onward connections throughout the Caribbean. We look forward to welcoming more visitors from Trinidad to experience the Nature Island.”

The new service further strengthens Dominica’s growing airlift network as demand for travel to the destination continues to rise. It also complements the island’s expanding tourism offerings, including new accommodations, enhanced visitor experiences and improved regional accessibility, making it easier than ever for travelers to discover Dominica’s unmatched natural beauty, adventure and wellness experiences.
