Newmarket Holidays has expanded its India collection with a new 21-day India tour that combines two of the operator’s most popular holidays to create an itinerary that connects the iconic landmarks of northern India with the serene beauty of Kerala in the south for the first time.
Highlights of India – From the Golden Triangle to Kerala starts with a rickshaw ride around Delhi’s many treasures, journeys by rail and road to Shimla in the foothills of the Himalayas, explores the eye-catching pink city of Jaipur and its famous Amber Fort, takes guests on safari in the tiger-rich wilderness of Ranthambore National Park, catches a sunrise behind the Taj Mahal and visits the city of Agra and its historic red fort.
Guests then relocate to Kerala in the south where the famous 14th century Chinese fishing nets, a spice plantation in Periyar, a wildlife cruise across Lake Periyar and a night onboard a traditional kettuvallam houseboat are among the adventures. The holiday finishes in Mumbai, with a guided tour of the city’s many historical and cultural landmarks.
