Relaxation Meets Exploration at TradeWinds’ Mimosa House in Bequia

The island of Bequia, located in the Grenadines, is a rare gem in the Southern Caribbean: small in size, but rich in character, beauty and soul. Bequia offers that unique sweet spot travelers long for—remote enough to feel like a discovery, yet still easy to reach with just a short flight or ferry from St. Vincent. You won’t find crowds, cruise ship terminals, or chain resorts, just an authentic Caribbean experience. Keeping with the spirit of the island, TradeWinds’  waterfront villa, Mimosa House, presents a tranquil environment coupled with curated daily excursions on land and in the water—the ideal mix for a worry-free week in paradise.

Classic Waterfront Villa

Accommodating up to 10 guests, the spacious Mimosa House features five distinct suites with king beds, ensuite bathrooms, balconies and air conditioning. Lush mature gardens and majestic palm trees surrounding the property ensure privacy and visual appeal. Guest rooms are located on the second floor, with common areas and dining room on the main floor. A private chef manages all guests’ dining needs with three fresh meals each day. Perhaps one of the most enticing elements of Mimosa House is the quiet, sandy beach that awaits at the edge of the garden. These waters offer spectacular snorkeling where lucky guests can spot sea turtles, angelfish and sea horses. No other property on Bequia offers this level of privacy and access.

Daily Adventures on Sea and Land

Key to exploring Bequia and surrounding islands is Mimosa House’s dedicated RHIB boat, always at the ready to whisk guests away for adventure on land and in the water. During the week, guests can take part in snorkeling and diving from the RHIB, with the captain and crew knowing the prime spots for spotting wildlife and thriving coral reefs. A circumnavigation of the island is an opportunity for guests to try their hand at fishing for their dinners (to be prepared by the house chef that evening). On land, hikes from Mimosa House along the Belmont Walkway to the postcard-perfect Princess Margaret Beach offers spectacular views, while visiting local museums and monuments provides context about the rich maritime history in Bequia. And there is always the option of relaxing in the villa’s gardens or booking an in-suite massage treatment.

Mimosa House is one of four TERRA offerings in TradeWinds’ collection of unique vacation properties, joining Villa Selena, the newest luxury resort situated on the waterfront in Placencia Peninsula in Belize;  Mandala Private Island experience, an off-the grid property located on the private island of Fetoko in the Vava’u island group in the Kingdom of Tonga; and Château Alizés, the grand 17th century château located in Southwestern France where culinary adventures await.
