As the demand for slow and personalized travel continues to grow, an Italian company is capturing international attention in the world of nautical tourism: Luxury Sailing.
Over the past three years, Luxury Sailing has seen steady growth, reaching €1.4 million in revenue in 2024. The outlook for 2025 is even more ambitious, driven by a surge in international bookings and growing demand for authentic and shared experiences — a trend that has strengthened especially after the pandemic.
An experience for everyone: beyond luxury, at the heart of nature
“We didn’t want to just offer a holiday, but a new way of traveling,” says Lorenzo Tawakol. “The boat is no longer about flashy luxury — it’s a vehicle for exploring, understanding, and truly living the sea.”
Unlike traditional boat rentals, Luxury Sailing offers double cabins with private bathrooms, full board, and onboard staff, freeing guests from all concerns. The itineraries? Off the typical tourist routes, allowing guests to discover the authentic soul of Sardinia and the Mediterranean.
This approach has struck a chord with the market: the 2025 summer season looks especially promising for nautical tourism in Sardinia, which remains among the most attractive international destinations. According to internal data from Luxury Sailing, interest in the island is growing significantly from previously underrepresented markets. In the coming months, an increase of 25% is expected in guests from the United States, a 75% rise from Chile — signaling strong momentum in the South American market — and a 15% increase from the Middle East, confirming it as one of the most promising regions for experiential tourism. A trend that reflects the local offering’s ability to meet the increasing demand for authenticity, sustainability, and quality.
Innovation with respect: the Luxury Sailing approach
Luxury Sailing stands out for its strong innovative drive, adopting advanced technological solutions to reduce environmental impact. Among them is a reverse osmosis system that transforms seawater into drinking water, significantly reducing plastic use onboard.
The cuisine, curated by a chef specialized in Sardinian gastronomy, relies on local and organic products, contributing to the promotion of the territory through food and wine. The onboard experience is fully customizable and includes activities such as yoga sessions, Gong Therapy, and cooking classes, making each trip unique for every guest. The crew consists of local professionals, helping to create an authentic atmosphere deeply connected to Mediterranean traditions.
This integrated approach to sustainability earned the company an ESG certification with AA rating, issued by Sustainy, confirming its real commitment to responsible environmental practices.

In the coming years, Luxury Sailing aims to expand beyond Sardinia, with new destinations planned both in Italy and abroad. The goal is clear: to offer more people the opportunity to discover the sea in an authentic way, without compromising comfort or care for the environment.
