St. Maarten Unveils Exciting New Experiences For 2025-2026 High Season

St. Maarten is gearing up for an unforgettable 2025–2026 high season, unveiling a wave of new attractions, elevated resort experiences, standout culinary collaborations, and exciting adventures both on land and at sea. As the island continues to evolve, visitors can look forward to more luxury, more flavour, and more ways to enjoy the Friendly Island’s warm Caribbean spirit.

Refreshed Resorts & Elevated Island Stays

St. Maarten’s hospitality landscape is stepping confidently into the new season with a collection of impressive upgrades across the island.

The Atrium Beach Resort & Spa has completed an extensive transformation, unveiling redesigned rooms with contemporary furnishings, sleek kitchen upgrades, new sleeper sofas, and a fully refreshed pool area. Now aligned with Choice Hotels, the property offers guests additional comfort, ease, and value.

At Sonesta Maho Resort, enhancements continue with an expanded Convention Center and new romance-forward offerings, including the Ultimate Couples Package and a Suite Honeymoon Package. The resort also introduces Cloud9, a stylish adults-only rooftop bar offering panoramic ocean views—ideal for sunset cocktails.

Heritage travel enthusiasts will find new reasons to visit Pasture Piece Plantation House with its December reopening. Once an 1800s Richardson family estate, it has been meticulously restored into a boutique bed-and-breakfast, museum, and elegant event venue. Its seasonal highlights—such as a Heritage Christmas Market and traditional Afternoon Tea—bring St. Maarten’s history to life.

Additional updates across the island include newly renovated beachfront accommodations at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, a cutting-edge rooftop fitness center at Commodore Suites, and The Morgan Resort’s grand reopening featuring a reimagined pool area and expanded retail offerings.

A Flourishing Culinary Landscape

St. Maarten’s dining scene—already among the Caribbean’s most celebrated—welcomes several exciting new additions.

Oyster Bay Beach Resort has launched a standout collaboration with Sicilian chefs from Michelin-recognized Osteria Il Principe e Il Pirata, bringing the refined flavours of Pantelleria to the island through a seasonal residency at the Infinity Restaurant from November to Spring 2026.

The historic Pasanggrahan Boutique Hotel, the island’s oldest, reopens its restaurant this October with a refreshed menu showcasing sophisticated interpretations of local cuisine. Nearby, Seaview Beach Hotel debuts the DoubleDutch Koffiehuis, offering fresh pastries and coffee daily, while The Morgan Resort introduces Sweetspot Bakery, featuring homemade chocolates, artisanal desserts, and daily-baked treats.

At The Rusty Parrot, rum lovers can dive into the island’s distilling culture with a hands-on “Make Your Own Rum” experience. Meanwhile, K Beach Club enhances its waterfront appeal with an expanded menu and upgraded loungers for effortless seaside dining.

Culinary travelers should also mark June on their calendars, when St. Maarten Flavors returns with a month-long schedule of prix fixe dining events at more than 30 restaurants.

Arts, Culture & Community Highlights

St. Maarten continues to celebrate creativity with the completion of a striking new “underwater alleyway” mural in Philipsburg. Designed by local artists with support from the Be the Change Foundation, the immersive installation blends marine-inspired artwork with educational QR-linked content, promoting ocean conservation in an engaging, family-friendly format.

Adventure, Sailing & Water Experiences

For those seeking ocean-inspired thrills, the island’s activity offerings are expanding in exciting ways.

Beginning November 1st, Private Yacht Charter will offer a new 2.5-hour luxury sunset cruise, showcasing St. Maarten’s dramatic coastlines from the water. Dive Sint Maarten introduces monthly night dives for certified divers, two-tank excursions to St. Barths, and Discover Scuba sessions for beginners.

Sailing enthusiasts can look forward to the island’s marquee sporting events, including the 46th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta (March 5–8, 2026) and the return of the Caribbean Multihull Challenge. On land, the SXM Padel Club prepares to host the International Senior Padel Tournament for the fourth year running (December 11–14), reflecting the sport’s growing presence in the region.

Improved Airlift & Island Accessibility

Visiting St. Maarten will soon be easier than ever. Air Canada will transition its seasonal service into a year-round route from Toronto beginning May 2026, with twice-weekly departures on Saturdays and Thursdays.

Princess Juliana International Airport is also elevating the traveler experience with a new in-terminal supermarket and an upgraded FBO facility for private jet passengers—both opening in time for high season. Local carrier Winair will celebrate its 65th anniversary with a relocated ticket office inside the departure hall and the introduction of Prime service, offering priority benefits and enhanced flexibility.

Meanwhile, Bobby’s Marina is finalizing the construction of its new lighthouse—improving navigation while adding a distinctive architectural touch to the waterfront.
