After suspending operations due to COVID-19, The Adventure Group is welcoming guests once again, officially reopening its portfolio of summer activities to the public Friday, June 26. Operating under new safety procedures, visitors will receive 25% off bookings if they use the code ‘moments’ before July 5.
In collaboration with PEAK Emergency Response Training who specialize in adventure tourism, and inline with requirements from WorkSafe BC and the Provincial Health Officer, The Adventure Group has introduced thorough policies and procedures to safely welcome guests back. In addition to adopting physical distancing measures, guests will be required to undergo a non-invasive temperature check, answer a short questionnaire, and at times, wear a mask, which will be provided if needed. Hand cleaning stations have been added across facilities, with additional staff hired to ensure all equipment and high touch areas are frequently disinfected. The company has also shifted to digital waivers and a self-drive transportation model to encourage less interaction among employees and guests. Additional safety procedures are included per activity.
The adventure continues with transformative activities such as:
- Superfly Ziplines, a unique system of four ziplines connected by a network of trails and boardwalks that showcase unbelievable scenic views of Whistler.
- Wedge Whitewater Rafting, Whistler’s original rafting company, that offers adrenaline-pumping enjoyment for groups of all ages and skill levels.
- Treetop Adventure Course,an unmatched aerial tree course, with over 70 obstacles that will test even the most seasoned adventurer’s skills.
- Vallea Lumina, an enchanting multi-sensory journey through the forests of Cougar Mountain, set against the backdrop of stunning visuals, immersive music and a captivating story of two lost hikers.
“After taking a pause over the past few months, we are beyond thrilled to be back outdoors doing what we love, creating lasting and impactful moments in nature” said Joey Houssian, Founder of The Adventure Group. “We have taken this time to ensure we are well prepared to safely welcome visitors back to Whistler and are excited to make the most of this summer.”
