
There are many things to do on Anguilla, and here are some suggestions from Uniquely Anguilla Magazine:
1. Spend and Entire Day at the Beach – Home to 33 beautiful beaches, the hardest decision you will have make is deciding which beach to visit first, Shoal Bay East and Rendezvous Bay are highly recommended. Shoal Bay East was voted amongst he top beaches in the world. Rendezvous Bay is a gently curved mile-long beach and is perfect for long walks and runs, water activities, and simply relaxing.
2. Explore Little Bay – Known for snorkelling adventure, and seclusion, this sliver of unspoiled beach sheltered by tall limestone cliffs is a memorable experience. There are multiple ways to access this beautiful cove, which is around a hidden corner from Crocus Bay. Sail in via boat, rent a paddle board, or kayak.
3. Indulge in Lip-Smacking Street Food – Street eats are affordable, filling, and delicious. As you drive around the island, you will spot the grills, see the rising smoke, and be enticed by the tantalizing aromas of barbecued chicken, ribs, pork, and grilled fish.
4. Hike the Coast – Because of the striking ocean terrain views, hiking Anguilla;s coast is both energizing and relaxing. Fun and educational tours are also available.
5. Explore the Cays – Lobster, crayfish, and barbecue taste even better when you enjoy them on Anguilla’s idyllic cays. Scilly Cay, located in island Harbour, is the closest to main island. At Sandy Island, the beach and the food are both wow-worthy experiences. Prickly Pear is a small cay in the middle of the ocean where you can snorkel in the calm bay and enjoy delicious local food.

6. “Lime” like the Locals – On Anguilla “Lime: has another meaning – to relax, or take it easy. While you’re on Anguilla, lime around with the locals and keep an eye out for one of the amazing festivals like Festival Del Mar (Easter), or Anguilla Summer Festival (late July/early August).
7. Learn About Anguilla’s Rich History – The Old Courthouse, an 18th century building, was the main administration building on the island before it was destroyed in 1955 by Hurricane Alice. The Old Courthouse has been renovated and is set to reopen as the Anguilla National Museum (date tbd) and will showcase an extensive collection of Anguilla historical and culture objects.
8. Enjoy Spectacular Sunrises – Most people enjoy the beautiful sunsets on Anguilla but few experience the majesty of a sunrise. Head to any of the beaches in the West – Barnes Bay and Rendezvous are highly recommended to take in the beauty and the start of a new day.
9. Embrace Fine Dining – Anguilla has developed a reputation as the “Culinary Capital of the Caribbean” with good reason. There are plenty of excellent restaurants to choose from for a splurge-worthy dining experience. All menus, whether locally or internationally inspired, feature seafood with a distinct twist of island flavour.
10. Catch at Live Performance – Good food and live music have become a winning combination on Anguilla. During lunch and dinner, many restaurants feature live local entertainment. The melodious voices of some of the island’s best talent ill have you swaying, singing and often, dancing along.
