World’s Only All-Inclusive Hotel Group with Two MICHELIN Stars

Velas Resorts proudly announces that both of its acclaimed Cocina de Autor restaurants have successfully maintained their prestigious MICHELIN star status in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide to Mexico. The restaurants, located at Grand Velas Los Cabos and Grand Velas Riviera Maya, continue to exemplify culinary excellence while remaining fully integrated into each resort’s all-inclusive experience. In addition, Cocina de Autor Riviera Maya was honored with this year’s prestigious MICHELIN Guide Service Award, recognizing the team’s seamless blend of fine dining and heartfelt hospitality.

The original Cocina de Autor concept was developed by celebrated chefs Bruno Oteiza and Mikel Alonso specifically for Grand Velas Resorts. Their continued consulting partnership ensures consistent innovation and quality across both locations. At Los Cabos, the culinary program is led by two MICHELIN star chef Sidney Schutte alongside Francisco Sixtos. Meanwhile, the Riviera Maya property features the expertise of Chef Nahum Velasco, a Mexico City native who brings authentic regional influences to the menu. Both venues offer sophisticated multi-course tasting journeys that celebrate Mexico’s rich culinary heritage through locally-sourced ingredients, complemented by carefully curated pairings of Mexican wines and traditional spirits.
