10 of the Best Luxury Glamping Sites Opening in 2018

Boy, do we have some exciting new retreats for 2018!

Including an array of gorgeous shepherd’s huts; Duck’s Puddle in the heart of the beautiful Quantock Hills, Copperas and Wild Pear with breath-taking views of the dramatic north Devon coast and, last but not least, The Witch’s Hut in magical Warleggan (twinned with Narnia!) on rugged Bodmin Moor.

Not to mention three cute-as-pie pods with jaw-dropping views of majestic St Michael’s Mount (aptly named Scenic BayCastle View and Mount Lookout), the truly spectacular one-of-a-kind Observatory at Frieda and The Moon near the south Cornish coast, super-stylish Cuddle Cabin hidden away in a secluded spot in south west Cornwall and the ultimate rural treehouse retreats, in the form of cosy George Cabin and King’s Cabin, nestled into a hillside in north Devon.

But, that’s not all, we also have a stupendous selection of spacious safari tents; Tembo (Swahili for elephant) will transport you to the wilds of Africa whilst you relax in the tranquil north Cornish countryside and super-size Cider PressWagon Linney and Hayloft in east Devon are the epitome of luxury glamping with USB charging sockets and central heating (yes, really!).

As well as (cue drum roll!) the wondrously whimsical Sanger’s Showman’s Wagon– an original fairground wagon, the first of its style ever built and once known as a ‘palace on wheels’ – now lovingly refurbished for modern glamping enjoyment near the harbour town of Looe, Cornwall.

All, of course, with en suite facilities (including a proper flushing loo and hot water) and electricity on tap – thou shalt not rough it with Classic Glamping, the wild in comfort and en suite.
