So you have been travelling “virtually” or have been stuck indoors for far too long. You are patiently waiting for the world to go back to some form of normality. You are thinking of your next holiday to Italy perhaps at the end of the year or 2021? You want to experience something different where you can really escape and at the same time add a touch of adventure……Here are some suggestion to get you dreaming of Italy again.

Why not enjoy a cycling holiday in Sicily with family and friends, where you get to explore the Val di Noto as well as experiencing great food and wine. There is also the Val di Mazara which is worth a look in as well as the Val Demone, all of which have a range of cycling routes for you to experience. Or why not experience the Amalfi Coast by bike. Your guide is an ultra-endurance world holding Cyclist. Your experience will be along “the Road of one thousand bends”. You could also cycle through the olive groves of Brindisi, or tackle the Colle del Gran San Bernardo in the Val D’Aosta. You could cycle from Albenga to Genoa, from the Dolomites to Venice. Why not try out the Stelvio Pass, ideal for those die-hards who are serious about road cycling. You are at an elevation of 2,757m above sea level and the landscape is simply awesome!

Why not take part in swim trekking. Use your body as a means to sail into the wild. Try the experience of travelling from one island to the other by swimming. You will be surrounded by the marine landscapes and natural reserve of the Egadi Islands in Sicily, all under the watchful eye of a swimming champion.

Go canyoning in the Trentino and enjoy a morning of pure fun amongst the green trails and the white of the waterfalls where it is possible to dive into the waters. What about kayaking and paragliding in Maratea. For something unique, you have Ischia Bioluminescence or the underwater city of Baia to explore.

Discover the mines and minerals of the Island of Elba. You will spend a day as a Geologist, looking for the most ancient stones on the island. You will go through an ancient mine cave, which is part of UNESCO Heritage, where Magnetite was dug. Then that evening, enjoy some great food and wine or a boat tour by night.

While in lockdown, you have started to appreciate the good things in life with wine being one of them. Why not enjoy a day of wine tours where you get to discover new flavours and appreciate the areas where the Italian wine you are drinking comes from. Be guided by a sommelier who will teach you the very best of wines; enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner in a vineyard; why not go on an exceptional 8-hour journey which showcases the unique traditions and history of Tuscany. The tour starts with being picked up from your hotel, arriving at the Winery for a visit of the vineyard, then the journey takes in the forest for truffle hunting followed by a truffle cooking class with lunch and wine tasting, awe-inspiring vistas of the San Gimignano towers and hills and a walk in the medieval old city of San Gimignano, with stops along the way to ensure you get to experience the best of Italian culture and tradition (what a day, a nap will be truly appreciated or a good night’s sleep)!!!!! Learn how to pair food with the right wine, or perhaps before you go you want to savour one of the bottles of wine you will be introduced to on your visit to Italy so why not order a case. Why not wine paint in Perugia with the master Vinarello. Your painting will then age just like the wine and will change its colours as time goes by.

Why not go trekking with wolves in Abruzzo. You will walk through gentle hills, woods, and rivers and will listen to the stories of shepherds who have inhabited these mountains for centuries. Together you will go on the trail of a magnificent predator. Who knows, you may even get to meet one in real life!

A balloon flight over the ancient temples of Paestum or a flight over Pompeii. Astronomical hiking in Ischia or a hike inside a volcano, volcanic cooking perhaps, or why not scuba dive. What about stargazing and sailing in the Pontine Islands. A jogging tour in the heart of Rome where you combine your love for fitness and knowledge during your Italian holiday.

Why not become a speleologist for a day and enjoy the caves of Frasassi. Guided by our experts you will go through tunnels and climbs where you get to see the inner part of the caves and experience something amazing.

You’ve started cooking during the lockdown, why not take part in a cookery course from fine dining to rustic cooking like Mamma used to make. Volcanic cooking in Ischia is interesting and fishing with local fishermen. You may want to turn your hand to shrimp fishing in Capri and mixing this up a little with some Me-Time! (Everything you catch, you will of course eat).

Did you enjoy a spot of gardening while you were at home and have suddenly realised that you really do have a green-fingered talent? Why not visit some amazing Italian gardens and get inspired. You have the Barberini Garden; Villa Reale di Marlia; Castello Visconti; Villa della Pergola; San Giuliano; Villa Taranto; Isola Bella; La Cervara; Villa Carlotta; Villa D’Este; The Gardens of Mortella where we are able to get an exclusive opening just for you. You are totally spoilt for choice when it comes to gardens in Italy.

You have been away for so long from your loved ones. Why not do a bit of a family thing…Enjoy a week in a luxury villa where all your needs are catered for; what about a week on a luxury yacht. Hire out a houseboat in the Veneto and spend some time on the Venice lagoon.

Need some pampering? Why not spend a week in one of our spa hotels where a series of treatments are available, and then head out for some retail therapy with your own personal shopper.  You may want to mix this with some early morning yoga.
