Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa Unveils the Healing Caves™

Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa – Vancouver Island’s premier wellness destination – invites guests to experience its newest signature offering at the Pacific Mist Spa: The Healing Caves™. This immersive journey guides guests through a sensory-rich spa circuit with six uniquely designed caves and tailored wellness therapies. At the forefront of innovation, this new offering further solidifies Kingfisher as a leader in the wellness industry.

The progressive series of caves offers distinct environments that engage all the senses, with each cave engineered to maximize health benefits and fully immerse guests into a mindful and stimulating journey. The Healing Caves™ provide additional clinically proven wellness therapies to the Pacific Mist Spa that can relieve stress and tension, boost the immune system, improve sleep and energy, relieve inflammation and more.

The therapies include:

  • Thermotherapy in the Desert Cave
  • Aromatherapy in the Mystic Cave
  • Cryotherapy in the Ice Cave
  • Red-Light therapy in the Astral Cave
  • Halotherapy in the Salt Cave
  • Immersive Hydrotherapy in the Storm Cave

The guided experience lasts a minimum of 75 minutes, with the option to extend the time up to 90 minutes in the relaxation lounge. Key Highlights of The Healing Caves™ feature a temperature range from 14°F to 180°F, stimulating desert dryness, rainforest humidity, and summit glacial air to promote detoxification and blood circulation. Along the journey, the Electrolyte Bar offers rehydration and immune support with antioxidants like vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc. High-definition screens spanning 335 square feet immerse guests in visuals of natural landscapes from around the world, exclusively created for Kingfisher; featuring the Kingfisher Tower in Utah and mountain peaks of BC. Visitors can also gaze into curated animations during the full-body red-light therapy session. An active therapy room with Halogenerators amplifies the benefits of salt therapy. The standout feature, the Storm Cave, stimulates dramatic weather patterns in a mineral-rich infinity pool surrounded by a giant screen. For a gentler experience, guests can retreat to a serene rainforest escape. The journey concludes with a flûte of sparkling wine or a non-alcoholic alternative.

“The opening of the Healing Caves™ marks a monumental achievement for our team,” said Bill Brandes, owner of Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa. “As one of the first wellness resort destinations on Vancouver Island, we take immense pride in our commitment to innovation, enhancing the unique offerings for our resort guests and community. We have built the Healing Caves™ to provide an unparalleled spa experience.”

Renowned for its top-tier spa services, the resort is consistently ranked among the leading wellness resorts in North America. Known for their Hydropath®, a staple at the resort for 25 years where resort guests and local visitors have enjoyed the therapeutic benefits to unwind and reinvigorate through various hydrotherapy treatments; this expansion to the Pacific Mist Spa builds on the resort’s unique spa offerings. Both the new Healing CavesTM and Hydropath® experience will be available for guests to enjoy year-round.
