For the second year running, Saudi Arabia broke the 100-million-tourist threshold, securing its position as one of the world’s fastest-growing luxury holiday hotspots.
According to the Ministry of Tourism’s just-released Annual Statistical Report, the Kingdom welcomed a staggering 116 million domestic and foreign tourists in 2024. That number is not just a figure—it’s a milestone that demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to top-notch hospitality, heritage, and cultural tourism is paying dividends.
Receiving tourism posted its all-time high of 30 million travelers, an 8% increase from 2023. Travel spending followed its counterpart as receiving travelers represented SAR 168.5 billion—19% higher year-over-year. Domestic travel, though, is likewise robust, with 86.2 million domestic inhabitants visiting to view their native land and spending SAR 115.3 billion.
These numbers represent more than raw expansion. They represent Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a high-end destination where aging landscapes, fresh luxury, and aggressive vision converge. Whether it’s Red Sea island resorts, desert sculpture in AlUla, or cosmopolitan energy in Riyadh, the Kingdom is creating a vacation experience designed to rival the world’s top retreats.
With tourism emerging as a cornerstone of Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom is redefining the script of Middle Eastern luxury tourism—authentic, expansive, and visionary.
