Imagine trekking through the dramatic peaks, glittering glaciers, and wild valleys of Torres del Paine National Park— and knowing your footsteps are helping protect this breathtaking landscape for future generations. That’s the heart of the 10 Volunteers for 10 Days initiative, a unique opportunity that blends adventure, conservation, and travel with purpose.
What It Is
10 Volunteers for 10 Days is a social contest hosted by Las Torres Patagonia, in partnership with SKY Airline, offering ten passionate travelers the chance to win an all-expenses-paid voluntourism trip to Chilean Patagonia. Winners will spend five days restoring sections of the iconic Base Torres trail — the most famous and most visited hiking route in Torres del Paine National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
This isn’t typical tourism — it’s hands-on work that directly contributes to sustainable trail restoration, protects the park’s fragile ecosystem, and improves access for hikers from around the world.
Why It Matters
Torres del Paine’s Base Torres trail sees heavy foot traffic each year, which causes erosion and environmental stress if not carefully managed. The 10 Volunteers for 10 Days project supports a multi-phase effort to rebuild and maintain this trail with sustainability at its core. By reshaping paths with gentle grades and eco-sensitive design, volunteers ensure the trail endures — while minimizing impact on local wildlife and plant life.
For travelers, this is a rare chance to experience Patagonia’s jaw-dropping scenery — like towering granite spires, glacial lakes, and windswept steppe — from the inside out, balancing meaningful contribution with adventure and exploration.

Why Every Traveler Should Consider It
This initiative blends the best of meaningful travel and adventure tourism. Rather than simply witnessing Patagonia’s natural beauty, volunteers actively support its future — learning firsthand about sustainable tourism, trail building, and environmental stewardship along the way. It’s a transformative experience that turns a passion for travel into long-lasting impact.
