7Pines Resort Sardinia Reopens for a Defining 2026 Season

A landmark season on the quiet side of Costa Smeralda, where culinary excellence, conscious luxury and Mediterranean rhythm define a new chapter

7Pines Resort Sardinia, part of Destination by Hyatt, reopens on April 23, inaugurating a new season on the quiet side of Costa Smeralda. Set on a 15-hectare private promontory in Baja Sardinia, overlooking La Maddalena archipelago, the resort reaffirms its distinctive positioning within one of the Mediterranean’s most high-profile destinations: a place defined not by spectacle, but by restraint; not by excess, but by space, rhythm and authenticity.

Season 2026 marks a pivotal moment in the resort’s evolution, shaped by major international recognition, a sharpened culinary identity and a continued commitment to responsible, place-led luxury.

The Quiet Side of Costa Smeralda: Boutique Scale, Refined Luxury
Located near Porto Cervo yet deliberately removed from its high-energy social scene, 7Pines Resort Sardinia represents a conscious alternative within Costa Smeralda.

With a limited collection of 75 rooms and suites, the resort offers a rare sense of openness and privacy: more space between guests, more silence, more time. Its boutique scale enables a deeply personalised approach to service and creates an atmosphere where luxury is expressed through calm, discretion and emotional connection.

Surrounded by the sea on both sides, with one main beach and four secluded coves oriented towards the sunset, the resort’s sense of soul is inseparable from its landscape shaped by light, wind and the slow cadence of Mediterranean life.

Capogiro Restaurant: Michelin Star, a New Culinary Benchmark
The defining milestone of the season is the Michelin star awarded to Capogiro, led by Executive Chef Pasquale D’Ambrosio, the only new Michelin star granted in Sardinia this year.

The recognition marks a significant moment for both the resort and the island’s contemporary gastronomy scene, placing 7Pines Resort Sardinia firmly on Italy’s fine dining map. Chef D’Ambrosio’s cuisine is rooted in seasonality, sustainability and respect for Sardinian ingredients, interpreted with clarity, precision and a contemporary Mediterranean sensibility. Chef D’Ambrosio’s creativity transcends the boundaries of the kitchen. His artistic vision flows not only through his recipes, but into the very vessels that cradle them. Each ceramic plate is conceived and designed by  the chef himself, transforming every course into a multisensory composition — a dialogue between flavour, form and texture.

“From the very beginning, our ambition has been to position our resort as a distinct alternative within Costa Smeralda — offering a more refined, intimate and experience-led approach to luxury hospitality,” says Vito Spalluto, Managing Director at 7Pines Resort Sardinia. “Each season, we challenge ourselves to raise the bar further, continuously refining our vision and elevating every aspect of the guest journey. We are attentive observers of evolving travel trends and deeply attuned to the expectations of our guests. This dual perspective allows us to enhance and reimagine the stay experience year after year, in a continuous and uncompromising pursuit of excellence.

Today the Michelin star represents an important milestone for 7Pines Resort Sardinia and for Sardinia’s contemporary gastronomic scene. From the outset, our goal was to establish the resort as a destination where culinary identity plays a central role in the overall experience. This recognition validates the extraordinary work of Chef D’Ambrosio and confirms the direction we have chosen.”

Spazio by Franco Pepe
At Spazio by Franco Pepe, located beside the main swimming pool, the culinary offering evolves into a shorter, trattoria-style menu focused on essential flavours and craftsmanship.
The collaboration between Franco Pepe and Chef D’Ambrosio remains a cornerstone of the resort’s culinary identity, offering an informal yet rigorous expression of Italian gastronomic culture that complements Capogiro’s fine dining approach.

Cone Club Evolution: a Refined Daytime Beach Experience
The Cone Club, the resort’s beach club, enters the new season with curated developments designed to elevate the experience while remaining true to its distinctive DNA. Blending music, Mediterranean seafood cuisine and social energy, Cone Club continues to evolve as a refined expression of beach culture — vibrant yet never excessive.
Cone Club will now be positioned primarily as a daytime destination of the resort, and special evenings will be hosted in collaboration with selected beverage brands. As a result, it will be the place to fully embrace the beach lifestyle, from long seaside lunches to sunset aperitifs overlooking the water. Throughout the season, a calendar of special events will punctuate the summer, including Ferragosto celebrations, the Night of San Lorenzo, and the traditional Opening and Closing Parties.

Sustainable Luxury with Purpose
Sustainability at 7Pines Resort Sardinia is approached not as a passing trend, but as a long-term transformation embedded in the resort’s strategic vision. The property also holds the Verified Responsible Hospitality recognition by Forbes Travel Guide, reflecting a holistic commitment to responsible luxury across operations, guest experience and destination stewardship.

From thoughtful sourcing and waste management to energy efficiency and environmental awareness, sustainability informs daily decision-making and shapes the overall experience offered to guests. This philosophy aligns with the resort’s broader vision of longevity, balance and deep respect for place — ensuring that growth and excellence evolve in harmony with the surrounding environment.

Further reinforcing its positioning, the resort has just been awarded 4 Forbes Travel Guide Stars a significant achievement and a notable progression from last year’s “Recommended” status
.
Wellness with a Mediterranean Soul
Wellness at 7Pines Resort Sardinia unfolds as an organic extension of its natural surroundings. At the 800 sqm Pure Seven Spa, rituals are shaped by Mediterranean elements light, sea air, native botanicals and natural rhythms creating a slow, sensorial approach to wellbeing. Treatments draw inspiration from the landscape itself, encouraging reconnection, restoration and presence.

The resort’s setting within one of the world’s recognised Blue Zones, where longevity is closely linked to lifestyle, diet and environment, further reinforces this holistic vision of wellness as a way of living rather than a standalone offering.

Active Spirit, Framed by Nature
Beyond its culinary and lifestyle offering, 7Pines Resort Sardinia continues to distinguish itself through a dynamic and space-driven approach to sport and wellbeing. Thanks to its generous layout and privileged seaside setting, the resort offers a wide range of water sports experiences throughout the season, alongside curated sports academies and private boat and yacht excursions exploring the crystalline waters of the Costa Smeralda and the La Maddalena archipelago.

On land, guests can train in the resort’s striking glass-walled gym, set within the gardens and overlooking the pool, or practice yoga and fitness sessions in the expansive grounds surrounded by Mediterranean maquis. This season also introduces a new pickleball court, further enriching the active lifestyle dimension of the resort.
