Set along the protected shores of Cabrits National Park, InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa introduces new wellness, culinary, and leisure experiences designed to further immerse guests in the island’s culture, landscape and global influences. From the debut of Téya Wellness Sanctuary to refreshed dining concepts and added amenities, the resort continues to evolve as a refined gateway to Caribbean’s Nature Island.
Introduction of Téya Wellness Sanctuary
Newly introduced, Téya Wellness Sanctuary marks a significant expansion of the resort’s wellness offerings. Inspired by Dominica’s elemental beauty, the sanctuary draws on indigenous botanicals, volcanic minerals and ocean-sourced ingredients to create deeply personalized wellness journeys for guests.
As part of the new offerings are Téya Dosha Rituals, weaving in Ayurvedic principles with Dominican botanicals and local herbal traditions, rainforest and sea therapies such as detoxifying moringa and turmeric scrubs, ocean rebirth experiences, and open air Shirodhara treatments, and cleansing volcanic earth wraps. Therapeutic bodywork, restorative facials, sound baths and mindful movement practices, all set within indoor and outdoor treatment spaces that overlook ocean views and lush greenery, are also offered. An additional signature element is the mud pit experience, further connecting guests to the island’s natural healing traditions.
New & Refreshed Culinary Concepts
The resort’s culinary program continues to evolve with both reimagined and revitalized restaurants and bar offerings. Debuting this month, Saltwood restaurant has introduced a Mediterranean dining experience to the Caribbean. Centered around a wood-fired grill, the menu highlights prepared seafood, premium cuts and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, complemented by a curated wine list and craft cocktails.
At RumFire Bar, guests can enjoy a new cocktail menu highlighting regional rums and local Caribbean ingredients. Newly introduced cocktails include the Fire Pit, featuring sorrel rum and coconut water; the Coco Field, crafted with coconut bush rum, Myers’s rum, and Coco López and the classic Singapore Sling, made with gin, cherry brandy, Benedictine, and pineapple juice;. Additionally, RumFire has 43 bush rum offerings, the largest selection in the destination of Dominica, and guests can partake in tastings of the local rums infused with a variety of different fruits, spices, and herbs.
Beginning this summer, RumFire will be launching “Pure Heat,” a new all-day menu that includes premium wines, beers, and spirits, available through September 2026. Live music and curated small plates will also continue to enhance the bar’s lively yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Elevated Recreation & Amenities
Expanding its recreational offerings, the resort is debuting pickleball courts alongside an enhanced variety of non-motorized watersports, including upgraded paddleboards and glass-bottom kayaks. This thoughtful evolution broadens the experience for both leisure-seekers and more active guests. On property, a curated program of Pilates, yoga, and other movement-based experiences invites guests to restore, recharge, and engage at their own pace.
