MSC World Asia will introduce five new bar and lounge concepts when the ship begins sailing in the Mediterranean on December 4, 2026.
The latest flagship from MSC Cruises will feature more than 40 bars, lounges, cafés and restaurants. Its new venues range from a playful, family-friendly soda bar to a sophisticated cocktail lounge inspired by early 20th-century Futurism.
The additions reflect MSC World Asia’s broader design concept, which incorporates references to Asian art, culture and landscapes throughout the ship. It will be the third vessel in MSC Cruises’ World Class series, following MSC World Europa and MSC World America.
MSC World Asia will also introduce 13 new or reimagined experiences compared with MSC World Europa, giving the new ship its own identity rather than simply repeating the features of its sister vessels.
Here is a closer look at the five new places passengers will be able to enjoy a drink at sea.
Clubhouse and Soda Bar
Inspired by the bright colors and pop-culture nostalgia of the 1980s and 1990s, the Clubhouse and Soda Bar is designed to appeal to families and groups of friends.
The central attraction will be a make-your-own soda experience. Guests can select a soda base before adding cream, flavored syrups and toppings to create a personalized non-alcoholic drink.
These concoctions—sometimes called “dirty sodas”—have grown in popularity as an alternative to conventional soft drinks and cocktails. The format gives children and adults an opportunity to experiment with different flavors and combinations.
During the day, the surrounding Clubhouse will offer MSC-themed games, interactive digital tables and group challenges. Younger passengers can explore a LEGO area, while The Court will feature bumper cars and other activities.
In the evening, the venue will shift into a more energetic social space serving cocktails and mocktails. The concept should give families somewhere to spend time together without making non-drinkers feel like an afterthought.
Sky Box Bar
Located within the Luna Park Arena, Sky Box Bar will provide a smaller and more sophisticated alternative to the energy of the surrounding entertainment venue.
The concept draws inspiration from Futurism, the early 20th-century artistic movement associated with speed, technology and bold experimentation. Its cocktail list will revisit familiar drinks through contemporary presentation and ingredients.
Bartenders will take a central role through elements of mixology theatre, turning the preparation of selected cocktails into part of the entertainment.
Sky Box Bar is intended to work equally well for a pre-show drink or a quieter late-night cocktail after an evening in Luna Park Arena. Its focus on premium spirits and theatrical service should make it one of the ship’s more distinctive adult-oriented drinking venues.
The Terraces Bar & Lounge
MSC Cruises will bring the Italian tradition of aperitivo to the sea at The Terraces Bar & Lounge.
Overlooking the ocean, the venue will serve familiar Italian cocktails such as Negronis and Aperol Spritzes, alongside a selection of wines, prosecco and other spritz-style drinks. Traditional aperitivo accompaniments, including focaccia and olives, will complete the experience.
The combination of an outdoor terrace, panoramic views and live music is likely to make the lounge especially popular around sunset.
Wine enthusiasts will also be able to participate in expert-led tasting sessions. These experiences will highlight selected regional varieties, with wines chosen to reflect destinations visited during the voyage.
Rather than functioning solely as a bar, The Terraces is being designed as a place where passengers can slow down between the day’s activities and evening entertainment.
Coral Cove Bar
Coral Cove Bar will be located within the ship’s Coral Cove Pool area.
The design takes inspiration from the colors and natural forms of a Philippine coral reef. Its more relaxed atmosphere will provide a convenient place for passengers to order classic drinks while spending the day beside the pool.
MSC has kept the concept deliberately straightforward: a casual poolside bar where guests can cool off, meet friends and enjoy the open-air areas of the ship.
Its position inside the all-weather Coral Cove Pool area should also make the venue usable when Mediterranean conditions are less predictable.
Pan Asian Bar
Overlooking the World Promenade, the Pan Asian Bar will form part of MSC World Asia’s new Pan Asian Street Food concept.
The restaurant will contain three culinary venues influenced by the street-food traditions of Southeast Asia. The adjoining bar will continue that theme through cocktails and beverages inspired by Asian ingredients.
The planned menu includes Jasmine Mojitos, Rose and Strawberry Daiquiris and Matcha Coladas. A selection of beers from across Asia will also be available.
One of the more unusual offerings will be Oceanic Asian, a specialty beer brewed at sea and developed with flavors intended to complement the restaurant’s food.
Its location above the promenade should make the Pan Asian Bar suitable both for drinks with a meal and for watching the activity below.
Familiar MSC Venues Will Also Return
Alongside the five new concepts, MSC World Asia will bring back several venues already familiar to travelers who have sailed aboard other World Class ships.
Coffee Emporium will offer different coffee beans, preparation styles and specialty drinks. Fizz Champagne Bar will focus on Champagne, sparkling wines and Champagne-based cocktails.
Sports fans will be able to follow major events at All-Stars Sports Bar, while Masters of the Sea will combine the atmosphere of a traditional pub with beer brewed aboard the ship.
Other venues listed for MSC World Asia include Zest Juice Bar, Dolce Vita Bar, the Panorama Lounge and The Loft, a comedy and live-music venue.
Together, the collection is intended to provide different environments throughout the day—from morning coffee and fresh juices to poolside refreshments, pre-dinner aperitivo and late-night cocktails.
Where MSC World Asia Will Sail
MSC World Asia will begin its inaugural season with seven-night Mediterranean itineraries starting December 4, 2026.
The planned route includes calls at Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina in Sicily and Valletta in Malta. The selection of embarkation ports will allow passengers to begin their cruise from several locations around the Mediterranean.
The itinerary also complements the ship’s internationally influenced food and beverage program. Italian aperitivo, Southeast Asian cocktails and globally inspired restaurants will accompany a voyage through ports known for their own culinary traditions.
