Solo travel is becoming an increasingly popular way for women to see the world without having to accommodate someone else’s schedule or interests. Stradom House Hotel & Spa in Kraków is responding to that shift with a new wellness experience that combines the freedom of independent travel with some of the structure and convenience of a traditional retreat.
Her Solo Reset is a three-night, four-day stay created specifically for women traveling alone. Available from October 1 through November 30, 2026, the experience includes spa treatments, yoga, cold-water therapy, meals, airport transfers and a visit to Wawel Castle.
Unlike a group retreat, however, there are no fixed departure dates or communal schedules. Guests have time to explore Kraków, linger over lunch or simply remain at the hotel without feeling obligated to participate in a full day of organized activities.
A Different Approach to Solo Travel
Women are playing an increasingly important role in the growth of solo travel. Intrepid Travel reported that participation in its Women’s Expeditions increased by 32 percent in 2025, with 77 percent of guests joining without a companion.
Those numbers relate to organized group tours, but they point toward a broader interest in experiences that give women greater control over when, where and how they travel. Intrepid Travel
Her Solo Reset occupies an interesting middle ground. It provides the reassurance of private transfers, concierge assistance and planned wellness appointments without placing travelers inside a group itinerary.
Once the key elements have been arranged, guests decide how to use the remaining time.
Inside the Four-Day Experience
The retreat begins with a private airport transfer and check-in to one of the hotel’s dedicated SÓL Rooms. These rooms are positioned close to the spa, allowing guests to move between their accommodations and treatments in a robe and slippers without crossing the main lobby.
Lavender pillow oil and a sleep mask help establish the restorative theme from the first evening.
The first day includes a SÓL Ceremony body scrub and yoga session. The intention is to help guests transition out of travel mode before settling in for dinner.
Day two introduces the more active recovery elements. A cold plunge is followed by the two-hour Deep SÓL wellness experience, with free time available for exploring the city or relaxing at the hotel.
The third day slows the pace through a Sound Room session and one of the spa’s signature treatments. Guests again have unscheduled time to decide whether they want to visit Kraków’s historic neighborhoods, enjoy the hotel facilities or do very little.
On the final day, breakfast and lunch are followed by a late checkout, avoiding the hurried departure that can undermine the final hours of a restorative break.
The experience includes three breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as three spa treatments, yoga, cold-water therapy, private airport transfers and access to the hotel’s wellness facilities.

SÓL Spa and Poland’s Salt Traditions
SÓL Spa sits at the center of the experience. Its concept is inspired by Poland’s centuries-old relationship with salt mining, a particularly appropriate connection in a region known for the underground chambers of the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
Developed in partnership with London-based holistic facialist Alexandra Soveral, the spa combines plant-based products with contemporary wellness facilities.
Guests have access to a 20-metre indoor pool, steam room, hydromassage showers, bio sauna and infrared salt sauna. A fitness studio provides space for guests who want to include more conventional exercise in their stay.
Rather than focusing on a single treatment philosophy, SÓL incorporates body treatments, facials, movement, sound and hot-and-cold therapies. The idea is to give guests different ways to rest and recover without presenting wellness as a rigid program.
The spa won the Hotel Wellness Zone category at Poland’s 2026 Spa & Wellness Awards and was nominated for Poland’s Best Hotel Spa at the 2026 World Spa Awards.
Wellness Without Leaving the City
Many retreats depend upon isolation. They remove guests from everyday distractions by placing them in a rural, coastal or mountain setting.
Her Solo Reset takes the opposite approach. Stradom House is in central Kraków, positioned between Wawel Castle and the historic Kazimierz district. The location allows guests to combine treatments with museums, architecture, restaurants and independent walks.
Wawel Royal Castle is approximately five minutes from the hotel on foot, while Kraków’s Main Market Square can be reached in roughly 15 minutes. The streets, cafés and cultural sites of Kazimierz are also within easy walking distance.
A ticket to Wawel Castle is included in the experience, giving guests a reason to leave the hotel without dictating the rest of their sightseeing schedule.
Travelers could also use their free time to visit the Main Market Square, walk along the Vistula River or explore Kazimierz’s galleries, synagogues and independent shops. The hotel concierge can help arrange local guides for anyone who wants additional context without joining a large tour.
Dining at Stradom House
Meals are part of the retreat, with wellness-oriented menus emphasizing seasonal ingredients, protein and fiber.
Guests also have access to several distinct dining and social spaces within the hotel.
Stradomska 12 serves contemporary interpretations of Polish cuisine and is recognized by the Michelin Guide. Its menu provides an opportunity to explore local flavors in a polished setting without having to leave the property. Michelin Guide
Gaia draws inspiration from Italian and Mediterranean cooking, while Bakehouse 14 offers a more casual café environment. SÓL Bar complements the spa, and Hedwig’s occupies the building’s restored former chapel.
Having several venues within the hotel can be particularly helpful for someone traveling alone. Guests can choose between a formal dinner, relaxed lunch or casual drink without needing to plan every meal elsewhere in the city.
A Historic Kraków Setting
Stradom House Hotel & Spa is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The 125-room hotel occupies a carefully restored former monastery and church complex with origins dating to the 14th century.
Historic architectural details are combined with contemporary interiors, restaurants, bars and cultural spaces. The former chapel now housing Hedwig’s is among the property’s most distinctive rooms.
The hotel also holds Green Key certification for its environmental practices. Its initiatives include reducing disposable plastics, sourcing products locally where possible, providing electric-vehicle charging and using natural skincare products within the hotel and spa.
Who Is Her Solo Reset For?
The experience is designed for women who are interested in traveling alone but would prefer to have some of the logistical details handled in advance. Private transfers, meals, a central hotel and concierge support remove several of the common points of friction associated with planning a solo city break.
It may also appeal to experienced solo travelers who want wellness appointments arranged without committing to a group retreat.
The limited schedule allows guests to combine structure with independence. There is enough programming to create a sense of purpose, but also sufficient free time to discover Kraków—or enjoy being alone—without a timetable.
Her Solo Reset is available for stays from October 1 through November 30, 2026, subject to availability. Additional details can be found through the official Marriott offer page and Stradom House Hotel & Spa.
