Disneyland Resort News from D23 Expo 2022

Disney100 Ð "Wondrous Journeys" Nighttime Spectacular at Disneyland Park — To celebrate The Walt Disney Company's 100th anniversary, an all-new nighttime spectacular will debut at Disneyland park in late January 2023. Wondrous Journeys will ignite the wonder in all of us and feature nods to all 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date, taking viewers on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart. During D23 Expo 2022: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this past weekend, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, shared many announcements and updates for projects in development at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. The Disney Parks Blog recapped everything your audiences need to know – plus, a bonus announcement and some extra details!

At Disneyland Resort, the Disney100 anniversary celebration will kick off in late January 2023 with limited-time celebrations throughout the year, including two all-new nighttime spectaculars: “World of Color – One” at Disney California Adventure Park and “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland Park. Plus, “Magic Happens” parade will return to Disneyland Park in the spring.

At D23 Expo 2022, details were shared around a third future attraction coming to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park. This new attraction will be a thrilling adventure where guests will get to team up with more of the Avengers and their allies to battle against foes from across the multiverse, including King Thanos, a villain designed specifically for the attraction. Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will expand into the multiverse and introduce a third attraction. For a limited time beginning next week, guests may encounter The Incredible Hulk.

The Mandalorian and Grogu will make their first appearance at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park in mid-November.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will become Pixar Place Hotel. SoCal favorite Great Maple will open a flagship restaurant on the first floor and operate other food and beverage locations throughout the hotel. Downtown Disney District will welcome Porto’s Bakery and Café in the future.
