Bar 190 is renowned for its historical significance as the venue for The Rolling Stones’ 1968 album Beggars Banquet launch and photoshoot, and its décor pays homage to this momentous event. During that era, the bar was a regular haunt for young musicians who reveled in its vibrant nightlife. The Rolling Stones, recognising its ideal city-center location and its relaxed yet glamorous atmosphere, chose to host the album’s launch party here. Today, visitors can still marvel at iconic memorabilia from that night, including photographs of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the album’s gold record, and the cocktail recipe named after the album.
