Cheers to thirty years! Today marks the 30th anniversary of Fairmont Orchid, a luxury resort along the pristine Kohala Coast of Hawai’i Island, and the property is excited to announce the opening date of its new champagne pop-up bar, Pau Hana, set to debut this Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Pau Hana‘s dedicated al fresco lounge space, perched just above Pauoa Bay, offers a front row seat to panoramic ocean vistas. Oversized chairs cushioned with Veuve Clicquot’s iconic yellow pantone throw pillows alongside vibrant umbrellas and surfboard menu displays create the ultimate Insta-worthy pop-up scene. Guests are invited to sip signature cocktails featuring Veuve Clicquot champagne, paired with a rotating daily selection of gourmet popcorn, as they watch the sun slip over the Kohala Coast.

Feel the buzz with the handcrafted Queen Bee cocktail infused with kiawe honey made onsite, mixed with bourbon and Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. Or indulge in an oh-so-seasonal taste of Hawaii Island with the Bellini in Bloom showcasing fresh farmer’s market fruit puree and Veuve Clicquot Rich Rosé —simply request the flavor of the day! Six handcrafted champagne cocktails will be offered daily, along with a selection of Veuve Clicquot champagnes, which may be purchased by the glass or bottle.

“We designed this après beach bar as a spot for friends to relax, unwind and watch the most glorious sunsets over the Kohala Coast,” says Fairmont Orchid General Manager, Charles Head. “Pau hana signifies a time to celebrate with friends after a long work day. We hope to create an inviting space for our guests to indulge in a celebratory glass of champagne while enjoying the company of their friends and family.”

Pau Hana will be open daily from December 20, 2020, through January 2, 2021, from 4:30pm- sunset. From January 8, 2021 onward, open Fridays & Saturdays from 4:30pm-sunset. For the most up to date hours and information, please go here.
