The sensational sweeping landscapes of the Great Western Plains will be broadcast live into the homes of Australian viewers this weekend, as Channel Seven’s national breakfast program Sunrise takes to the road to explore regional NSW.
Australian TV personality and presenter James Tobin will be broadcasting the weather live from various locations across the State, whilst exploring the incredible offerings of the towns along the way.
Filming in Wellington on Saturday, viewers will get to know the locals through exploring a range of the town’s most iconic attractions, including the Wellington Caves, the Wellington Boot Races and the beautiful Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum, as well as interviews with some of the area’s most loved, local producers, including Love Merino and Farmer Brown’s Eggs.
The following morning, the crew will be heading north to the village of Tooraweenah to take in the extraordinary views Warrumbungle Ranges and get up close and personal with the residents of the Emu Logic Farm.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said the activity was part of Destination NSW’s ongoing focus on highlighting the incredible offerings of regional and rural NSW.
“Once again our State remains at the forefront of tourism in Australia and this initiative shows that Destination NSW continues to work tirelessly to keep the spotlight on our incredible rural and regional destinations and its residents,” Ms Chipchase said.
“Whether it’s meeting some of Australia’s finest merino wool growers in Wellington or taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Warrumbungles in Tooraweenah, hosting Weekend Sunrise in the Great Western Plains should inspire many viewers to book their next trip to NSW.”
