Lightscape will return to the 37-acre San Diego Botanic Garden for its third year from November 15 through January 5. Spanning one mile, the enchanting illuminated trail has been reinvigorated to feature spectacular sights, brand-new eye-catching artistic installations from international artists, and some returning favorites from previous years that come alive at night with color, imagination, and sound.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lightscape back to San Diego Botanic Garden for a third year,” said SDBG President and CEO, Ari Novy, PhD. “This event has become a holiday tradition for so many, offering new and exciting installations for visitors of all ages to enjoy each year. We look forward to transforming the Garden into an enchanting after-dark experience where family and friends can celebrate and make memories together.”
The holiday light trails have dazzled the world’s biggest cities over the last ten years, including sold-out runs in London, Chicago, Melbourne, and New York. Set along a beautifully illuminated walking trail custom-designed for San Diego, Lightscape ticket holders will walk a one-mile-long path with tunnels of lights, illuminated California poppies, a beautiful flame skimmer dragonfly, and other artistic installations while enjoying seasonal treats and drinks along the trail. Reimagined for the 2024 holiday season, this one-of-a-kind, immersive experience will guide visitors through a festive world of colorful wonder, allowing them to see the Garden in a whole new light.
San Diego Botanic Garden is producing Lightscape in association with Sony Music, which amazes millions of people year after year with similar shows in multiple locations across the world, including the U.K. and Australia. Additionally, Lightscape is creatively produced by Culture Creative. Tickets for Lightscape 2024 at the San Diego Botanic Garden will go on sale in mid-September.
