OMMA Santorini is proud to announce its support to Make-A-Wish Greece for the upcoming season. OMMA Santorini believes all wishes should come true, whether it is a beautiful holiday on an Island or a newly renovated bedroom for a teenager. It is with this belief, that OMMA Santorini de$cided to grant Martha’s wish.
Martha is 11 years old and has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia; Her wish was to have a new renovated bedroom. OMMA Santorini was able to grant Martha her wish by buying beautiful handmade bracelets created by the volunteers of Make-A-Wish Greece. Going forward, these bracelets will be given to hotel guests as gifts, sharing the joy of giving, and raising awareness for the organisation.
In addition, and to help grant more wishes, the OMMA & Make-Wish bracelets will also be sold in the boutique gift shop for guests to take home to their family and friends. Proceeds raised will be donated to the organisation to grant more wishes to children in the future.
Make-A-Wish Greece is a non-profit organization which grants wishes that have the power to transform the lives of children with critical illnesses. A wish is an inherent part of the healing journey. Research shows that children whose wish has been granted can regain the physical and emotional strength they need to go through very serious illnesses. Since its creation in 1996, Make-A-Wish Greece has granted more than 2,020 wishes.
OMMA Santorini will be continuing to support Make-A-Wish throughout the year, and will strive to raise awareness of this wonderful foundation to international travellers visiting Greece.
