The new Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende, the hospitality company’s first urban European Plan (EP) hotel, will open on October 1. Pueblo Bonito Vantage will unite local traditions with exclusivity, technological comforts, singular experiences, and personalized service.
Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende has been built in homage to the city’s architectural heritage and is located within the District Corazón (the Heart District) in a traffic-free zone in front of Zeferino Gutierrez Park and a quick stroll from the historic center. The well-appointed property showcases the elegance of contemporary Mexican design of the highest style in every room and space. Multicolored, with a Moorish influence, the boutique property will showcase beautiful fabrics, hand-crafted furniture, and exquisite details intended to completely envelop guests and visitors.
“The aim is for our guests to become immersed in the culture of this beautiful location, absorbing and relishing all that San Miguel de Allende has to offer,” said Alberto Coppel, CEO, Pueblo Bonito Resorts. “Each element of this new property has been thoughtfully designed and planned to offer the ultimate guest experience.”
Its hacienda-style buildings will comprise 111 well-appointed guest rooms and suites in one wing and 45 privately owned villas and multi-bedroom condominiums in another. All rooms and residences, designed in a neo-colonial style, will feature terraces with outstanding views of the city’s historic downtown area or the hotel’s lush gardens. Four dedicated wellness suites will also be available with bamboo linens, sleep masks, and other amenities intended for relaxation.
Arquitectura de Interiores and its president, Marisabel Gómez, oversaw this exciting new project. The famed interior designer said, “The beauty of this new hotel is in the details. Our concept and storytelling is that luxury is handmade, much like this exquisite city where Pueblo Bonito Vantage will premiere.”
Visual splendor predominates throughout the property. “Mexican design elements are generally found in the form of artwork, artifacts and textiles,” Gomez explained. “Sumptuous fabrics such as rich velvets, beautiful panels with nail-head details, and lavish area rugs adorn the public spaces.”
When opened, the hotel’s entry hall and spectacular wooden gates will create a “visual layering” effect and a “wow” factor. Guests will see through and beyond the gates to the spires of the city’s magnificent neo-Gothic church, Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, with more than a dozen of the historic city’s domes grouped below it.
The richly appointed guest rooms will be comfortable and sophisticated, with high-tech lighting fixtures and a state-of-the-art Bose sound system. In-room amenities include L´Occitane bath products (Bulgari amenities in suites), plush bathrobes, a luxurious pillow menu, a Nespresso coffee machine, and an electric kettle. Pet-friendly accommodations and a slate of treats for four-legged friends will be available.
The on-site Aromatika Spa will offer lavish holistic care with facials, massages, full-body treatments, single and double treatment rooms, a hydrothermal circuit area, and locker areas for men and women. Other spa facilities include a wellness center, fully equipped gym, beauty salon, bridal suite, and retail shop.
Casa Bistro, the hotel’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant, will highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients in innovative, ever-changing menus. In the evening, V Rooftop Terrace will serve tapas and drinks, offering panoramic views of the San Miguel Arcángel Parish and the city’s picturesque skyline. LaFrida, the hotel’s gourmet restaurant that pays homage to iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, will provide an unparalleled gastronomic experience, featuring a show in coals and fire and top-shelf wines and cocktails in a stylish environment.
The hotel will have banquet space for groups and a beautiful terrace for weddings and events overlooking the city.
The V Life program will offer a collection of unique experiences in which guests and residents may immerse themselves. Based around four pillars—gastronomy, culture, history, and lifestyle—V Life’s curated activities include language immersion, painting or sculpture classes, cooking classes prefaced by a visit to a local market, guided cultural walks of the city, a visit to a local bee farm, vineyard visits to Guanajuato’s excellent wine region, and many more.
Two regional airports, Leon (BJX) and Querétaro (QRO), serve San Miguel de Allende, approximately 1.5 hours away. The hotel will provide transportation.
