Punta Mita Surf Camp returns by popular demand

Punta Mita is thrilled to announce the second edition of the Punta Mita Surf Camp, an annual event that welcome back two Mexican legends on the water:  Diego Cadena and Coco Nogales, offering Surf, Yoga, SUP, amazing local cuisine and more!

For 2019, we have new additions with surf and SUP expert, Jessica Cichra, and Kristen Addicks, an internationally recognized yoga instructor.  Together with Coco and Diego they will lead an extraordinary program of surfing, yoga and SUP on the beautiful Mexican coastline of Punta Mita. These world-class instructors will perfect your skills in an interactive learning environment with personal training that is ideal for everyone from beginners to those more advanced looking to add high-level tricks to their repertoire. This is a unique opportunity to learn from top experts in one of the most outstanding surf destinations in the world.

Surf session with Mexico’s legendary surfers, while the crew gets to know each other and groups abilities. Coco Nogales, Diego Cadena and Jessica Cichra share their best tips and practices to improve your movements and skills for Surf and SUP.

Coco Nogales Raised in Puerto Escondido, Carlos “Coco” Nogales, is the most recognized big wave surfer in Mexico. A known wave hunter, a place in which fear and risk go hand in hand, Coco has earned the respect of the surf community and has mastered the swell in some of the world’s most iconic surf destinations, like in Teahupo’o, Haiti, where in 2015 he amazed the world with a death-defying ride on a wave approximately 15 meters high.

Diego Cadena Born in Sayulita, Nayarit, this master of shortboard surfing and specialist in spearfishing, Diego has had a successful career, dominating Mexican surfing for over 20 years and being named National Champion on multiple occasions. Diego holds the #2 Latin American Surfer ranking and represents Mexico in Surfing World Cups.

Jessica Cichra   Jessica is deeply involved in the SUP racing circuit as an athlete. Her love for adventure and travel inspired her to begin instructing abroad, teaching national and international SUP Yoga and Bala Tula clinics, as well as organizing and facilitating international SUP and yoga retreats.

Kristen Addicks Kristen is a yoga instructor from Marin County where she teaches Hatha Flow at Sukha Yoga, a combination of Vinyasa and Bikram, Power Flow and Gentle/Restorative Yoga. She is also a teacher-trainer at Some Like It Hot Yoga & Boutique and writes a yoga blog for Marin Magazine. Additionally, she runs a Yoga Sutra Study Group that studies the deeper meaning of yoga and leads international yoga adventure retreats.
